If there's a Pappasito's, why would anyone go to Wendy's?

Honourary Order of the British Empire. Several of my socks made it. I was skek_4, amongst others, fyi.

Ahh, I see. I was not, as I did not post - just read.

I did do a summer program at Oxford. But really, any OBE in that context would have been related to getting stupid drunk (as in the out of body OBE definition) on pint after pint, and not anything to do with chivalry or social order.

Huh. Doesn't seem that anyone alive is entitled to claim an Honourary OBE. All the OBEs appear to be properly addressed as Sir or Dame.

I got home just in time to watch Proctor tee up that gopher ball.

Actually, saving Mo another inning* probably not a bad idea at all, so long as Detroit doesn't end up winning the home field by one game.

*he did pitch the first game, after all.

That would be me. And that's why I'm such a valued member of the fb community, despite my less-than-prolific posting.

How can you forget the vagina dentata story? My b-i-l is afraid of cunnilingus b/c he thinks that vaginas look like the scary pulsating closet from Poltergeist and that movie scared the shit out of him as a child. I can't make this stuff up.

Of course I'm immature -- I don't have the stabilizing influence of a husband and children to make me realize what is really important in life and to help me realize that I don't have to actually respond to every fucking post, whether it concerns me or not.

What SF tourist attractions are safest for pedestrians from crazed drivers? Crooked street seems like it would have lots of ways to dodge the car- the Embarcadaro not so much. Any advice for making it across the intersection of Haight and Ashbury.

Yeah, if you kick it up a notch maybe that will the right mix of high-octane and xanax and off kilter that will make you a little more stabilized. [Barely, not Ty]

And Spanky and Burger just won another convert. Sorry people, from now on I will be part of the solution, not the problem. My most annoying board quality is my ability to let myself get sucked into conversations (if you can call them that) with dumbasses. Apologies to the non-dumbass posters.

these games are great- it's a bitch that the Yankees get to see the Tigers new pitchers as a preview before the AL finals, but both games were just great fun to watch.

They seed the playoff by wins right? so the Tigers play the A's and the Yanks play Minnesota?

I kept my mouth shut during the Sox September tumble last year. They barely got in...and then went 11-1 in the playoffs. I will cite this post when Detroit doesn't get in. Way to set yourself up.

ETA: I've been talking about Jermaine Dye as AL MVP for over a month now - I'm glad everyone has finally picked up on it.
