I'm in that program now. But they make me keep trying to remember this stuff about crosses and tats.

FILM critics have branded J-Lo and Ben Affleck’s new film a “total disaster” which is destined to bomb at the box office.

Gigli has had reviewers sniggering in the aisles at the “laughable dialogue and ludicrous plot”.

In the film J-Lo plays a lesbian assassin who is seduced by hitman Affleck.

One critic said: “It has the feel of a straight to video film. There were a lot of rumours from the set that it was a terrible movie — and it is.”

The couple fell for each in real life while filming the movie.

But on screen, their sexual chemistry is said to be seriously lacking.

Another critic said: “Affleck is just totally miscast and J-Lo is just awful.”

In one scene J-Lo, 33, tries to seduce Affleck, 30, by laying on a bed and telling him: “It’s turkey time!”

When he asks: “What?”, she replies: “Come on, gobble, gobble”.

One reviewer said: “There was J-Lo with her legs wide open trying to look sexy and then she opens her mouth and spoils it!

“It was possibly the worst line ever said in a movie.”

The film has already undergone extensive reshooting after early previews showed audiences found the ending unbelievable.

But even J-Lo diehards will be disappointed. In the only sex scene she keeps her robe on.

And gay rights groups are incensed that J-Lo’s character starts off as a lesbian but goes straight — thanks to Affleck

Furious George is also the name of Vancouver's men's Ultimate Frisbee club, which I believe has won the World Club Championships at some point in the last few years. Speaking of that, there's an unofficial rule that every casual ultimate league has to have a team that wears purple and calls itself Purple Haze. I have played on a Purple Haze, as well as a Mass Confuscia. Favorite Ultimate team name, however, is North Bay's "Nads." (Their farm team was called "Suck My Bag"). If you've ever been to North Bay, you'd understand how appropriate this was.

Clever band names are tough. How about Kick Your Dogma?

Large Behind: It's Turkey time!
Out of Treatment, now a bore: What?
Large Behind: Gobble, gobble!

Gag. Per the radio, there was no Thanksgiving connection or anything to help out this horrible exchange even a little.

In the future, please provide spoiler space for Gigli reviews -- not because I want to be surprised when I see it (which I definitely will not) but because, well, I just had some chips and they are suddenly trying to get back into the bag. :help2:

Gobble gobble? Someone actually says this in a movie? Did she ad lib it or what?

Forget the gay rights groups, the turkeys of the world should be offended.

OK, well I see that this one may get some overuse, however...I really like it in a grossed out sort of way. And Str8, shouldn't you change your sig line? Ain't Rickey playin' baseball - and kicking ass?

Whoa, there, Seabiscuit!

I love the fact that the trailers, ads and other promos for "Seabiscuit" are quoting Laura Hillenbrand as loving the movie. "Hey, the movie adapted from my book is really wonderful! Everything I hoped and expected! See it with someone you love!"

Sheesh. What's next, George Lucas flogging Episode III? "Another triumph!"

But in discussions afterwards it was agreed that the proper approach in that situation would have been to step well back from the action and then call 911.
1. What black neighborhood were you in?
2. Who were you talking to afterward?

I can't imagine a black neighborhood where the right move is to call the cops for a bar fight. And I suspect if someone heard you calling 911, the fight would stop, the dj would pull the needle off the record, everyone would turn and look at you like you lost your mind right before you got bum rushed.

This was the subject of a discussion between my husband and me the other day. What exactly do you mean by "bum rushed"? He says it means something or other that I don't think it means (and I won't say who thinks what, so as not to influence your answer -- and I'm not sayin' which way I think you'd be influenced.)
