I've probably had some then. Ithaca seems to be a shopping center for a lot of stuff.

The strongest I ever had were from Oregon. They were coated in those blue flakes. My head went off like a firecracker. A friend introduced me to her dad and I started crying.

Thank God for sunglasses.

I think of Ithaca as snowy and dark and depressing and super cold.

I also used to go there to get away from Syracuse, so go figure.
We loved road trips to Syracuse.

Ithaca - not so much.

You know Penn's a second-rate Ivy when it has to build up its ego by dissing Cornell.
Pity poor Brown, then.

U Penn would sound like it could be in Texas, if you spell it U Pen, like in animal barrier.

I think several of you have had children in your mid-30s and I am wondering whether you had difficulties getting pregnant or whether it was pretty easy. The friend in question has been pregnant several times before but had abortions and is in her mid-30s. Also, how does having been on birth control pills factor in?
Tell your friend to stick with the puppy.

I really shouldn't read the mcnews, which left out that she paid in advance by certified check and tried to obtain a refund of $4,000, which doesn't seem unreasonable if what she claims about the quality is true. I feel kinda bad for calling her a brat. That pesky CNN, playing the bridezilla angle like that ...

The clown car lady used birth control previously. She said so right on her website. We have witnessed exactly how the Baby Jesus chose to punish her. Your friend should repent or she'll be buying groceries in bulk, making those tator tot casseroles and shimmying up to Flower in church.

If she tried to get a refund for $4000, and paid $27,000, how can she make a claim for $400k? Since I'm not admitted in NY, I'm looking for answers.

Cell phone spam calls

Has anyone been receiving recorded calls every day on their cell phone from Imperial Majesty Cruise Lines (or some similar bullshit operation) that sound like a clown recorded them? I am going to file one of those forms at the do not call website, because such calls are totally verboten, but I know it won't really do any good. I'm just curious whether anyone else has dealt with this type of nuisance, because this is the first time in 7 years that I have ever gotten a spam call on my cell.

Bride suing for $400,000 because her flowers, for which she paid $27,000 (!), were not the color she specified. And yes, as a matter of fact, she IS a lawyer.
I was with her -- until I read that she was asking for damages more than 10x what she spent on the flowers. I mean, if I spend that kind of coin for flowers at the Not Bobette's nuptials, they'd better be the right color, and I would demand a refund if they were as fucked up as described, but $400,000.00? Shoot, man, that's an excessive wrongful death award in my neck of the woods!

Apropos of nothing, were I someone who litigated against her firm, in every case I had where the defendant argued about damages, I would staple that complaint to my response.

Hmm. I was 24 when I had my first, we have the middle one who is 3 and the baby who I had 2 months ago and I'll be 34 in December.

I'm fairly fertile and was only on the pill when I was 18-19.

Hope that helps.

Anecdotally, I've a lot of friends who have had problems getting pregnant in their mid 30s. Two are trying right now without success. One had a miscarriage recently, the other is about to start fertility treatment.

Another friend went through two miscarriages and fertility treatment before she got pregnant with her oldest son. She had absolutely no problem getting pregnant with her youngest. She'd had at least one abortion in her youth and was on birth control prior to deciding to have a family.

Also anecdotally, I have a lot of friends in their 30s who got pregnant almost instantly after getting off birth control. My understanding is that you're pretty damned fertile once you get off the pill.
