Also, if -- as the poll suggests -- they changed their vote because they thought their government lied about the bombings, then they weren't appeasing the terrorists. (And if someone draws that conclusion, you can fault the PP for the defeat, not the voters.)

Oddly enough, I would bet that the Spanish media that did the polling hasn't been berating their readers in that way.

Truth be told, I'm relieved. The early contenders for California's state quarter all looked like ass, and this ain't half bad. (I'm a single issue voter.)
