No, it's because the term is used and the implication is that it is needed to distinguish it from just plain old trash, which doesn't need a qualifier because we all know what race that is. WASP, on the other hand, is just descriptive. There's no BASP. or ASP.

What is it about identifying a particular culture as both "white" and "trashy" that make it objectionable to those who are being specifically excluded from being called trashy? It has to be an implicaiton of some sort, yet that implication doesn't seem to attach when we use "White" in other contexts.

(Is part of the problem here the number of folks in the W*** Trash category, especially in the south, who are racists?)
