Absolutely, ver-SAILs

And Miss Chick is usually about 14, so no comment.

Oh, speaking of the midwest, even when I win, I lose. I tried to help y'all out here by saying go against Wisconsin today at -8 over Purdue, because that's what I would have bet, and I've been on such a cold streak. Final score, Wisconsin 31, Purdue 20. Jesus I'm a retard.

You're suggesting that a person who can run a certain speed over three miles can't run a little faster over much shorter distances. Look at your (imaginary) times for the (imaginary) races you've run in. You can maintain a faster pace over a shorter distance if you must. That's how the human body works, even when it's some imaginary human body or the imaginary ex-wife of that imaginary person on the internet.

Any person who can run a 26:00 or so 5K can run a 4:00 half mile. No exceptions. People don't have some maximum speed that they can't exceed, but which they can maintain for 25 minutes.

You would know this if you were actually a runner and not just making up times from stuff that you have read on the internet.
Wrong and you are just proving yourself to know nothing about running. Being able to run a 26 min 5K does not guarantee a 4 minute half. They are completely different distances. Perhaps someone has trained themselves to run 8:25s (whatever that 5K time equates to) and developed the aerobic capacity to do so without ever developing their fast twitch muscles or anaerobic capacity to go faster. They then take the first two hundred out way too hard and hit an early wall. Couple that with an extraordinary effourt on my part and the result is extremely plausible. And a matter of fact. If you don't believe ask around the Chicago running community (that's where you are, no?). The story is legendary.

As for my prowess or lack thereof, (1) running is not my primary sport; (2) within recent memory I went to the World Championships in my primary sport on merit, twice. I am sure with your massive running knowledge and the prowess it implies you have probably been to the USATF championships a few times in the last several years, in the 800, no?

I am fairly certain Frisbee is a game not a sport. I have call in to the IOC for verification and will report back asap.

eta: I first met Ty at a wine event put on by the publishers of Oenophillia for DUmmies, which is illustrative of our relationship existing on a solid foundation of our mutual love of wine and the DU, which loves help bridge our political differences.

Is your official title "ball boy" or "fluffer"?

eta: I started a blog to address some of the controversy.

Ticket purchaser. That's what i assumed you were also. When you said you got there on merit I figured you didn't sneak in, or win the ticket in a radio contest.

Did you see the last 4 minutes of the Eagles game today? Didja? Shit like that only happens in the movies. Sweet.

Hurricanes are funny.

From a Miami Herald article:

"But here is something to look forward to:

After the storm passes, the cold front that is sweeping it to Florida will be left behind.

Monday night's forecast: Clear, breezy, temperatures in the 50s. Tuesday's forecast: Mostly sunny, highs in the mid 70s.

Perfect weather to go hunting for your roof. "

For your roof. Hysterical.

Today was certainly a great day for Eagles lovers and Cowboys haters. I am the latter, but not the former. In fact, as a Chargers fan, my heart is low.

Cowboys game was the best ending ever though. Great drive, but leave the Cowboys with too much time on the clock . . . except that with Drew Bledsoe, there's always a high probability of a ridiculously stupid pass in the forecast. The very bald Josh Brown was probably about 100% likely to make that kick, in that situation. The Cowboys shouldn't have even made him bother to kick it. A forfeit would have been more fitting.

Almost makes up for last year's ridiculous Seattle-Dallas game. Almost.

I've received about a dozen emails on this wondering whether the silence holds up. Unfortunately the speechless thing doesn't last. He does return and keeps posting.
