Help

I really do need help -- people who watch "The Office" and know it well, I'd love it if you'd IM me where I could e-mail you a copy of my spec script so I could get your thoughts as to how it could be improved. You guys are an astute bunch, so please help.

Though maybe not so astute if you thought Studio 60 was anything more than mediocre. The problem is going to be that sketch comedy is really hard -- especially for drama writers. That killer "opening number" that redeemed the show? A Gilbert & Sullivan parody? Ummmmm I don't think so. And then they don't show the Crazy Christians sketch? Whaaa?
I need a pick in my suicide pool. Can you post your picks for this week so I can go the other way? Thanks.

Oh, God, watch the changing speeds/activities. It can be so frustrating. For the love of God, at least a little notice, please.

Have we discussed this yet? I need costume suggestions. Think I'm going as half a couple to an adult-type party. Unsatisfied with such generic staples as peanut butter and jelly or pimp and ho, I'm looking for ideas, ideally something that suits me in a more specific way. Since few of you know me or what I look like*, this may be fruitless, but ideas are welcome.

*contra Hank's implication, no facial stubble.

Totally.

When was the last time I said this job blows? Because it does.

we went as gilligan and the Skipper* once. It's easy, and easily recognized. Saw a couple a few years back as Jay and Silent Bob. That seemed easy.

* I am, of course, far too buff to have pulled off the Skipper, so i had to gain 30 lbs for the night.

TO OT

After completing his first full workout since breaking his right ring finger on Sept. 17, Owens finished the day by firing his longtime personal trainer, James (Buddy) Primm, after the 55-year-old Primm told the Dallas Morning News details of Owens' personal life - that Owens' fiancée had recently ended their three-year relationship and that Owens was upset he had missed his son's seventh birthday on Monday. Both the son and the ex-fiancée live in California.

"He shouldn't have said anything about my personal life - period. Now I really have to be guarded as far as who I talk to. If I can't trust my own trainer, I can't trust nobody," Owens told the Dallas paper.

___________

What the hell was his trainer thinking? NOt the best career move.

Get in line, sucker.

On the bright side (for me - you're fucked, sounds like), I think I might have finally convinced them to fire me. Praise Jesus!

I can't believe Penske let you win that fight, especially since Gilligan is preternaturally youthful.

Not Bob's trite white-bread suggestions:

Batman and Robin

Captain and Tennille

Sonny and Cher (Jim Carrey and Tea Leoni did a reversed gender version of this in "Fun With Dick and Jane" -- Sonny was short, so if you're noticeably shorter than your partner, this might work)

Bonnie and Clyde

Priest and nun

Priest and altar boy
