If the FB remembers, I previously posted that I wouldn't trade my life for Tiger Wood's life. However, I would have killed to have been in your shoes for the last two months. Well done. You're my hero.

So how does Janey avoid getting voted out this week? Is Chicken Goerge's time up? I think Chill Town's right that Danielle has to go, but it looks like Erika is ignoring their "advice." If they throw the competition, what happens if Erika or Danielle win the POV?

I guess the vote will be 2-1 but do they stab Janey in the back or carry her to the final?

>
>1. I always wear jeans and a t-shirt on the weekend (no exceptions) 2. The ritz is SO last season. 3. I would rather not have to waste time buying you a card and present, which you probably wouldn't need anyway 4. Your PA has advised me that most people won't be turning up so I won't miss much 5. Like most people, I'm not very good at sticking to arrival times and would probably miss my slot.
>
On a serious note, based on your email, I am quite dumbfounded with how you managed to get a job here with us this summer and i will be having some SERIOUS words with the person who interviewed you. The fact that you have obviously spent a lot of our 'Work Time', planning your birthday party and not doing the work we have given you is a clear indication that you are not taking this internship seriously and are not dedicated to the firm. I do not think we will be in a position to offer you a full time graduate placement following the internship.

I have an inflamed partner on my back and need to deal with the pain immediately. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

TIA!
If I thought a pharmacy had given me the wrong pill, I would call the pharmacy, at the very least. Maybe it's Vicodin. Maybe it's something else. Why take the chance?

If it's not Vicodin, what else could it be? What other pharmaceuticals start with a "V"?

I was hoping to get some information about the similarity/differences in the side effects and pain relieving capability. Who the hell would waste a perfectly good Vicodin on an angry screaming man? When the alternative is to feel better.

I've never had the Darvocet but I have had the Vicodin. I can stay awake on Vicodin. And I'm really really sensitive to stuff that makes me drowsy. I don't want to be taking something that's going to put me to sleep. Or do I?

Reading David Foster Wallace, a supposedly fun thing I'll never do again.

Amusing, but perpetually absent a solid punchline. Intended more to make the reader feel impressed about getting subtle and snarky stuff than actually entertaining. See Chuck Klosterman's recent Esquire piece about Snakes on a Plane. It describes Foster Wallace's prime audience to a T.

To his credit, I've heard (I think from someone here who is an acquanitance of Wallace) that IRL, DFW is very aware he's exploiting a gullible audience with highbrow "product."

My feelings on DFW are strong because people keep giving me his books as presents, expecting me to really dig him. Klosterman does everything DFW does twice as well.

But I did like the fair piece...

I don't think that the public board is the place for this discussion, but since everyone involved seems to think that it is, it is clear that a bunch of people have been dicks to ppnyc ever since her return. They should stop. And she should stop responding to them. And to others who have already stopped. And from doing so using Not Public information.

If you don't like someone, put them on ignore.

we've forgotten how to post politely when there are 100s of posts. Most people cannot remember what GWNC was referring too, and thus we cannot understand Sebby's post. A more polite construction would include the post to which she was responding so that the reader need not try to remember.
