In a rhetorical way, I was citing a common misperception that I get tagged with. regardless of that and for all of your bullshit bobbing and weaving in your response, you know and acknowledge that people can find the "retarded" offensive, it doesn't apply here literally, there are lots of other words that are deragatory that could be argued to be applicable. When I said, I was sensitive to the perceptions of others, because I had been caught in a situation where someone else's perceptions were brought to my attention as being at odds with my intentions. You basically said, as far as I can tell, such things as others perceptions would not make a difference to you as long as you felt your intentions regarding the use of the word were okay.
I am very sensitive to other people's issues with how they are labeled. That is true. I am also sensitive to how words are used in a derogatory way when describing someone. And I may be wrong on this one. However, you have not outlined a reason, other than someone told you not to do it, that is convincing to me. I don't always agree with people when they tell me a term is offensive. I'm sure I do more than others, but I disagree with you on this one.

Also, you might want to ask yourself why you so frequently get tagged with that particular common misperception you mentioned.

Awwww. I see now. If you wanted me to say that you are not an insensitive asshole, why didn't you just say so? You didn't have to go through all of this. And it's "hypocrisy," retard.

I haven't found the gloves, but I found a lovely fedora that suits you. In fuchsia.

I suppose you could cut the fingers off of these, but why?

Moving it along

Just moving the post count along here in order to get to the next thread title -- something I'm going to do several times a day with inane posts about nothing.

In other words, what I normally do. Only now, there's a specific goal in mind.

Who wins the Veto competition tonight? And if it's Danielle, will Marcellas go on the block?

str8outavannuys 08-15-2006 06:40 PM

What about Treasure Hunters

Sure looks like the Geniuses are in good shape, but don't count out Air Force.

By the way, that guy Francis on the Geniuses is a real dork.

If you don't know who won the veto, you're not a TRUE BB7 fan.

Here's a hint -- someone's in a bit of a jam for obviously throwing it to someone else, thus tipping his hand.
