Dissent. Gogonzola does not go well with anything. Not even with itself. The same may be said of Roquefort, Maytag, Stilton, or any other cheese with a characteristic mold ripple.

You must not eat many veggie sandwiches. Green apple and red onion go quite well together actually. The main point of the sandwich is the raw veggie (and fruit) thing. So most raw fruits and veggies would work. Green apples (raw) do not go well with cooked squash, etc., however. In any event, it was a cook mistake, not an order-taker mistake, because she wrote it down right in front of me. I did not tip, but they would not know that when I ordered, as there is no payment prior to getting the food. In fact, there was not even a tip jar when I did pay.
Let me clarify, people in general (people who prepare food) do not give a fuck what you want.

Due to food allergies, I always order sandwiches/salads/anything that might possibly have onions (which are usually and maddeningly undisclosed) or any type of mayo/sauce/egg-based thing to be held or placed on the side. Usually these items are to-go. And since I am not the type of person who inspects every fucking thing before I leave, or drive away, more times than not, there will be onions and/or mayonaisse on my food item. I end up throwing away a large portion of most lunches.

I did not ask if you tipped, but assume that you would have if given the opportunity, except for the fact that they don't give a fuck what you want and just improvised.

"Sugartits" has become extremely popular among my drinking colleagues. Ideally stated with just the right amount of slurring.

Really? I think of you as a food guy (that's not an inslut, btw; a good thing to be), and would expect you to like the blue cheese group. I love each of the varietals you identified. By themselves or in combo with other foods.

Hmmmmm. I'm going to go ahead and call bullshit. Anyone who has actually been lurking would know better than to try to help Fringey. That always always backfires.

P.S.

Dude you are so wrong. A hunk of Point Reyes blue, a nice cabernet and a loaf of crusty french bread makes an outstanding dinner.

Are you taking notes Shifty? This is the type of feel good walk/stumble down memory lane that I was looking for. Maybe with a little less oedipal/scatological feel, but in that general vein.

How do you feel about Cambazola? Nice combo or bastardization of 2 good cheeses?

I don't disagree with you that it is hard to get places to leave mayo-type items off of sandwiches. However it seems that you need this to be all about you, when in fact it is all about me and my longing for my delicious veggie sandwich concoction.

Fine. All about you then. It amazes me, given the number and percentage of people in my circle of friends that do not like/eat mayonnaise-type products, that so many places still make their stuff with mayo slathered all over the place. Down with mayo!

(back to me - it is all about me - I made a tasty tuna salad last night using dijon mustard instead of mayo for the moisture element. I recommend.)
