(Apropos of nothing, I used to have a t-shirt with "Marxist-Lennonist" on the front, with pictures of John and Groucho on the back -- the College Republican cokeheads used to get all pissy about it, saying stuff like "Stalin would have shot you for that, you pussy.")

Hey, I didn't write them, I'm just the reporter. And since you asked, never dated a married man, never knowingly would.

There really only needed to be two rules and there are probably real-life situations that prove there are exceptions to them:

1. If you are making a lot of excuses for him (he's too busy at work to go out/spend more time with me, he's been hurt in relationships before, blah blah blah), there's a good chance HJNTIY.

2. If you are OK with what you're getting from him (emotionally, this isn't about jewelry!), cool. If it's making you nuts/unhappy/neurotic, don't hang around trying to change him/make him love you/commit to you. Move on.

Besides, George was the cutest.

Those guys were hilarious. After co-founding my college's Young Socialist Political and Tippling Society (I insisted on being Treasurer), I used to tell them to loosen the tie and embrace the love that dare not speak its name when they got all stroppy.

BR(However, I did watch one of them take apart an animal rights protestor in a down jacket once, which made me develop a huge crush on him that makes me feel all hot at the site of bow ties to this day.)C
