Which brings to mind this sad story...

Many years ago, as a young associate, I was working late one night when I decided to google my college flame. I found, not only several web references but one that listed both a home and work phone number.

I couldn't resist and dialed the home number...but from my cell phone, mind you, figuring it wouldn't be traced back to me.

Well, he answered, I panicked, and I hung up the phone. Not 4 seconds later my cell phone started to ring. I recognized the number as the one I had just dialed, so I picked up the phone and quickly hung up. It rang again, and this time, I let it roll over to voice mail, which said "Hello. You've reached Boldn'Brazen's cell phone....yada yada yada."

Mortified. So now my ex-boyfriend knows that I called him once and hung up, that when he *69-ed the phone he got hung up on by me again, and that when he *69-ed again, he found out for sure that I was a genuine nut.

He didn't leave a message. I never called him again. And I vowed never to do something so stupid again.

You have good timing, because we've recently been discussing a revision to the facial hair rule. One of the BBs has always been on the side of stubble, but the other--due to a painful and, frankly, dangerous experience--has been a staunch opponent. However, a recent dalliance has changed her thinking, and thus, we announce the dawning of a new day: Stubble gets the official BB seal of approval. Stand-alone mustaches and soul patches are still forbidden.

So it was my birthday last week. I received three presents. First was the nose/ear hair trimmer featured on QEFTSG that I'd remarked would speed up my grooming regimen. As I started to open the second present, I said to her: "What is this, the Sesame Street Box Set?" It was just a T-Shirt, not from ATHF, but cool nonetheless ("Who's Your Daddy"). I then opened the third, rectangular shaped present. It was the Sesame Street Box Set. I'd never discussed it with her before; she didn't know that I knew it existed. We both now think I'm scary. Anyone ever had a precog moment like that?

I hate playing catch-up but some numbass let the blaster into our system with a laptop so here I am posting almost four hours later when the topic has already passed but I cannot let this one fly by. I never said I wasn't getting quite a bit, just noting that there are things beside huge girth and length that sometimes make having sex every day seem like a lot. I never said that I was or was not doing sex every day, just that the other things in life can make that seem like a lot to some people whether they are doing it or not. ;)

How in the hell did you get the blaster this week? That is soooo 2 weeks ago. Do you not have tech support? Anti-virus?

I don't want to talk about it. Fucking morons. Then they come around running a virus scan and I am saying "it won't pick up blaster, you have to run the Windows update thingie." Now, an hour after everyone is back up and running they are going around doing the Windows update thingie. Dumb fuckers. We get hit with a freaking virus and the head of IT leaves for lunch. I hate IT.

WASHINGTON, Sept. 8 — Overweight Americans and Europeans are overfeeding their pets, too — and putting their health at risk, according to a report issued Monday. The report, from the National Research Council, finds that one-quarter of the dogs and cats in the Western world are obese. As with humans, this puts them at risk of diabetes, heart disease and other health problems. THE REPORT updates recommendations last made in the mid-1980s by the National Research Council, one of the independent National Academies of Science.
For instance, cats and dogs make their own vitamin C, it says, and do not need it added to food. But cats and dogs in the wild need high levels of fat, it added.
The report confirms that cats are carnivores, and need meat products in their diet, whereas dogs can get along fine on balanced vegetarian diets. The best balance of protein and carbohydrates is also different for cats than for dogs.

The report notes that in the wild, cats will catch and eat eight to 12 small animals or birds every day.
Feeding of cats should reflect this — with 12 to 20 very small meals being offered through the day, the report says. (Anyone have time to do this? Thrasher?)
The report advises on how to tell if a dog is too fat — if the ribs cannot be felt, it is probably overweight. Cats should have a slight waist but no roundness of the belly.

Some years ago, I was driving along on the highway and a woman changing lanes hit the back end of my car - not badly, just a bump. So I signaled for her, ignored the first exit and took the second exit to be sure she was following, got off that main street into a little neighborhood, got off the neighborhood's main street onto about the third side street I came to...

and pulled up in front of the house of the woman who hit me. Good thing, too, because she didn't have her insurance information in the car and needed to go inside to get it.

I have these from time to time (mostly the usual stuff - picking up the phone before it rings to discover the person you were going to call is on the line, that sort), but that's the most over-the-top odd one. My sister was with me and she totally freaked her shit.
