Hey, this reminds me of the time I quoted "Office Space," and Wonk thought I was actually being anti-Semitic, and I totally turned all red and was like, "I apologize," which then completely ended the discussion, which was over anyway.

Good times, good times.

No, it's just that they exist. You know one or two. She eats well, rarely exercises but is thin but isn't thin enough to be bulemic. And you know this b/c you've met her mom, who at 55 is still shaped like she was when she was 25. Some people are just lucky like that.
Yes, but if everyone hates her, either (a) she's a bitch* or (b) the "everyones" in question are pretty insecure/immature, and they'd be either your friends or her friends. Not a good sign if all friends of either yours or hers are insecure/immature.

*This may be immaterial, because, as you said, she's HOT and can pick her nose and stuff at dinner.

Everyone is very prickly today I am noticing. What's the deal? (Not that it is a bad thing I'm just curious.) Do you think it is cause tomorrow is the 11th or what?

And speaking of the 11th, should we do anything special on the board for this?

No.

We want Suzy Kolber and we get her on ESPN sunday nights.

Of course, once Jason Taylor retires, we'd like to see him wearing very tight shirts on the sidelines of MNF.

First of all, her name was Myrtle. Again, pay attention.

Second of all, if you would like, I will explain how it could come up. If the group of people were discussing their children and or child birth (I'm sure you've taken part in one of these discussions), and everyone has contributed, the joke would not be inappropriate.

Can't wait for your next brilliant post. Something along the lines of "But what about their sister's daughter's best friend who has that problem?"

This reminds me of the time I first appeared on the board and a suggestion from me that someone consult their pastor led to charges of antisemitism and nastiness that I, at least, never expected from such an innocent statement.

Let me say in defense of GGG and TM that children are a gift from God. They should be cherished. Why any of you would attack someone for stating this fundamental truth is beyond me. And as for those with fertility issues, you clearly feel that children are a gift, since you clearly want children. I hope that you find a way to deal with those fertility issues and I hope that you find a way to fill your life, as well, with children. But I do not see the offense.

God Bless.

Not my friends. Typical catty/jealous bitches. The ones (with the special metabolisms) I know are pretty nice...I bet GWINKY is one of them (it sounds so from her posts), and she's pretty friendly...

Coltrane, I might even be one.

And by one, I mean a "lucky" one, that is, a naturally thin non-bulimic woman with a mom who still had her shape at 55. I don't mean a woman who is hated by all the other girls.

Then again, I might not be one. I might be jealous, and that might be the real reason that I am irritated by comments that are impliedly or expressly judgmental about other people's physiques.

I still think you're cute, but seriously, the fact that the other girls "hate" her is really not a good sign.

I'll defer to the folks from NYC and DC, but in a way I think us carrying on as we always do makes the best statement... The rest of the day will be somber enough.

Yes, but those are exactly the ones you want - they are truly dedicated.

Yes, but everybody like GWNC, and in your situation, everyone hates the chick.

Edited to add, Dumbass. If you change the hypo, you change the result.

You'd think that, but it's not. I get asked that all the time, more or less. I have twins. Twins = fetility treatment in the minds of way too many.

"Her" is not a real person. And I guess I don't mean hate, so you're right. But from girls who do not know "her", you don't know how many times I've heard "well if I worked out as much as her" or "well if I ate like a bird" or "if I had a personal trainer" then "I could look like that too." Bullshit.

And I think it would be normal of someone to be jealous of someone else b/c they could eat what they want w/out any consequences. I know I'd be jealous of someone who could get shitfaced and not be hungover the next day (in fact, I DO know of someone like this - he has never been hungover - his body must process liquor much much faster than normal. No matter how late he's out, he's up the next day, perfectly fine. He shows no signs of having drank 15 beers the night before. And I'm jealous.)

I may be recalling this incorrectly, but I thought it was your comments about Jew-hating that led to the charges of antisemitism.
