Is everything that she has posted a lie? Some of it?
What do you mean by "everything?" Everything about our meeting? No. That was the only outright lie. What she does do (and it is understandable because I clearly hurt her feelings) is try to put a twist on the things I said to her so that it sounds like I was being offensive. Everything I said to her was done in the flow of the conversation and at no point was she uncomfortable. She has implied that she had a horrible time and wanted to leave, but that's all bullshit. She missed her train and had a two hour wait for the next one. If I hadn't ended it within 10 minutes and wanted to sit there with her for 2 hours, that's what would have happened.

Oh yeah. She also lied about not implying that SS was hitting on her when he asked her if she wanted to have lunch. But that and the RP thing were the only lies she told.

I'm wondering why immediately after emailing em, she takes a nap. Or maybe she meant "nap."

You do realize you have just blown any shred of credibility you might have had right out of the fucking water, right? Not that you had much to begin with, but at this point the best thing you could do would be to disappear for a year or so, completely change your persona online, along with your identity, and hope noone remembers you when you limp back.

At least you don't portray me as an entire outright liar. I'm not. I'm usually pretty honest but you had me so mad after that I was spitting nails.

And, I'm not lying that someone else *did* say that about RP.

and wonk. I know truth to you is very important but that is overblown. a partial half truth is not sit in a corner and suck my thumb material I am sorry.

The ThrashersFan login might be available. That was as good one, that would be made better if TF started to like spit-roasting.

Good point. And, as you said, it's a stupid thing to do because she has no idea what you look like.

Plus, considering her definition of "attractive," I wonder what she thinks "not all that" even means. Are you not all that on my impossibly high grading scale (which would make you "attractive," I'm sure)? Or is it a true insult?

Thurgreed, if you want to fuck her so bad just PM her and ask. All this flirting is getting a little embarassing, don't you think?

That's what I was trying to address with the Bill Gates reference.

As you sagely point out, however, those sorts of people do not have to deal with the same amount of bullshit because they call the shots. There is a huge difference.

Unfortunately, I have never had the sort of job where I call the shots. Lawyering is a service industry.

That said, next year, I am planning to go back to work in a small town practice, where I will make very little money, but the rewards (connection to the community, low-stress (relatively) clients, and job satisfaction) will be worth giving up my free time. Dealing with a bunch of blowhard bankers who speak in consultant-ese is most definitely NOT worth my free time. We all have different thresholds. That is mine.
Just remember to do you networking over morning coffee at the diner. That's kind of baked in to the deal.
