A buddy of mine has it and says it rocks. My issue with the LG is that the voice quality is not as good as other phones. Plus, I have a bad history with Goldstar as a brand so I may be tainted on that.
I guess it depends on if you're going to be using it mostly as a phone or mostly for text.
I have a Samsung now that totally sucks, so I am generally opposed to them unless someone can adequately assure me that they've cleaned up their act. I'm not a big fan of the RAZR, but how about the MOTOKRZR? Heard anything about that one?

Here's what's weird... I actually agree with most of the stuff in this review. And I still love my Chocolate.

It's balky to use until you get the hang of it. It doesn't text message as well as my old Motorola because it doesn't do predictive text. It's hard to download music to, so it's never going to replace my iPod.

But still, it's cool. I like the way it feels in my hand. I like the way it looks. I think the sound quality is good.

I will admit, I mostly love it because it looks good.

I don't know how you can hate the Twins. I love Torri Hunter (and am still pissed off that we have Damon locked up when Hunter and Crawford will be up for grabs -- if Boston doesn't make a trade for Crawford, they could be the dumbest team in the history of sports). Santana is awesome and they always field a team that is competitive even though they have little to no money, play in a shit hole and have to ask players to live in MN.

I wasn't defending spanky, I was translating. And mostly I just wanted to post "PLEASE PAY ATTENTION." And middle school kids are like 12 or 13- only really dumb 16 year olds are in middle school.

The only 2 complaints I've heard of that particular phone is that the volume does not go up loud enough to hear in semi-loud environments (airports, parking lots) and that the buttons are a little difficult (but this is from people with manhands). But if you are using the bluetooth headset and speed dial, neither one of those should matter.

Try one out at the store, see if the volume or the buttons are an issue. The voice quality is quite good.

Thurgreed, I understand your current kick to attempt to elevate the level of discourse on this board. I warn you, however, that it is lonely and Quixotic effort. I realize that your motives are less altruistic than mine were -- I was doing it for the Newbers, whereas you are are doing it because you are sick of wading through pages of banal and meaningless posts. I know you think that if you point out to posters what they are doing, they will stop repeating the same inside references ad nauseum in the desperate hope that the inside nature of the reference combined with the relentless repetition will elevate the post to something resembling a joke. I know you think that if you point out to posters what they are doing, they will stop posting merely for the sake of posting, churning out page after page of posts that amount substantively to nothing more than repeatedly typing "That is interesting." But the Board is what it is and it always will be what it always will be, because that is the inherent nature of being. In short, although I applaud and respect your efforts, I question the wisdom of same.
on my Choate alumni webpage there is a chat room and it is banal almost as often as this place. So it's not intelligence.

I have a treo 700p. I love it because I was able to pitch my blackberry and the internet is blazin'. It's also good for texting, once you get used to the buttons.

2. The fucking volume doesn't go high enough. I can't hear shit. And it's not my hearing b/c I can hear just fine on the wife's RAZR.

No elementary school, but thanks for the idea. there is an old people's home nearby.

Cons: it's a few blocks out of the way, and i might not always "make it."

Pros: I bet the staff is used to cleaning up accidents.

2 points:

1. I never suggested it was lack of intelligence. In fact, if I thought it were lack of intelligence, I would not have wasted my time trying to change it. I think it is laziness, which makes the persistent lack of quality posting all the more maddening.

2. I have heard that more and more attendees of prestigious prep schools are taking 5 or more years to graduate, causing me to question the correlation between attending such an institution and intelligence.
