I thought it was an interesting, but flawed theory. What would college be without interesting but flawed theories? Hell, I was a social studies major, that was my bread and butter. I know there were plenty of white guys at my college with an Asian fetish (which I don't think he had, NTTAWT).

Nowadays, he confines himself to dating Mexican women. He finds being a white guy who speaks Spanish gives him a leg up. Plus, much like in the movie Barcelona, his girlfriends are more likely to believe that his personality flaws are cultural rather than personal.

RT can figure out the joke. See, Jack tried to start a different line of discussion to move away from your ... let's say, concern .. that TM described you as chubby and not-pretty. So, RT responds to him, a little back-and-forth ensues, and there's mention of her sister. And I pull that new thread back into the ppnyc-nutjob thread -- exactly what the new thread was created to avoid -- by asking a question that utilizes the key words "chubby" and "not-pretty."

A brilliant, if only marginally funny, display of irony. RT can also recognize the marginal funniness, but she's nice to me about it. That's because RT holds a special place in her heart for me, I know, because I think I was the first GA she met IRL. And I, too, hold a special place for her, because the purpose of our meeting was for her to lend me a tape of a Buffy episode that I had missed.

But I digress.

In any event, no, I am not TM and Gwink's "good friend." I like them both. I've met them for drinks or lunch when we were in the same city. And right now, I think I'd probably avoid doing that again for fear that we'd end up talking about you.

How long does it take for a sprained ankle to fully recover?

Back in May, I slipped on something on the floor at the grocery store and fell. My right ankle and knee hurt pretty bad so I went home and elevated & iced them. The next day they were still sore but hadn't swelled up.

After a couple days the knee didn't hurt anymore but the ankle was still achy. It got so it only ached when I was particularly active. In retrospect, I should have gone to the doctor but after I picked up a nasty antibiotic-resistant staph bacteria at the ER last summer, I like to avoid doctors.

I spent a long day Sat. on my feet and it started aching again. I really thought it should be healed by now.

Questions: Does it make any sense to go to a doctor now or is it too late to do any good? Is there something I can do to strengthen my ankle so it gets better?
