FWIW, the decision is here.

My favorite comment about it is Jonathan Adler's at the Volokh Conspiracy:
  • Is Kevin Martin Indecent?

Yesterday the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit's struck down the Federal Communications Commission policy governing "fleeting expletives" as "arbitrary and capricious." FCC Chairman Kevin Martin responded with an expletive-laden statement. Given the Second Circuit's ruling, could a network air Martin's remarks without fear of federal sanction? Discuss.

More than an hour later, I am starting to suspect that Hank does not plan to finish that sentence.

The odds of Hank finishing that sentence are about the same as Scooter Libby finishing his.

I actually think that's a damn shame, all in all. (In the same way I thought Clinton's impeachment was a damn shame. i.e. unrelated to guilt or innocence.)

I agree that it's a damn shame that he lied. Too bad he and Cheney didn't just tell the truth.

What was the guilt or innocence question in Clinton's case?

Not unless there are potential criminal sanctions in Arkansas disbarment proceeding or Federal impeachment trials, which I doubt there are. So no, it wasn't turned into a political witchhunt like this liddy thing.

  • [On July 29, 1967, the U.S.S. Forrestal] suffered the worst fire in the history of naval aviation, killing 134 sailors, when a missile accidentally launched from the wing of an F-4 Phantom waiting on deck, striking an A-4 and igniting its fuel tank. Who was sitting in the cockpit of that A-4? John McCain! (He managed to scramble to safety before his plane’s fuel ignited.)

yes. this is very important to the election. those of you who have not seen Independence Day may not know that it is quite possible the President will be called upon to fly fighter jet combat missions.

OTOH, remember JFK has been created to be a good president and his ship was sunk.

In the spirit of bi-partisanship, you have to admit, despite that credential, you have a record of having dropped the ball, mon ami.

In the debate last night, Tancredo was so intent on eradicating any traces of multilingual society, I don't think he'll stop at Spanish. Better tell the guys at Rocky's to tone it down with the erin go bragh stuff, because I think St. Patrick's Day is in some serious danger.

In my opionion, there wasn't much of a question.

But I still thought the whole investigation, and process, and the impeachment, was a horrible thing for the Country.

S_A_M

P.S. For Libby, I really have no idea if he's guilty, but I think its a damn shame that the whole thing happened, and that a basically decent man who was almost certainly following orders (when he did the underlying Plame leak) is going to jail.
