Is there an official in Mexico we can bribe to petition the US to have PT extradited? He needs to pay his debt to society. |

I have great admiration for anyone who can make this assumption, but I also think that where continuing actions or attitudes suggest that no repetence has occurred such people may be blessed fools. Of course, I'd rather be blessed than damned. Just some thoughts from another person on the road. |

I think I would watch that. Plus an update... Limbaugh didn’t back down from his comments during his syndicated radio talk show Wednesday. “All this has become the tempest that it is because I must have been right about something,” Limbaugh said. “If I wasn’t right, there wouldn’t be this cacophony of outrage that has sprung up in the sports writer community.” Chris Berman, who anchors the ESPN show, described himself as “a New England Democrat” but added “I don’t think Rush was malicious in intent or in tone.” “As cut and dry as it seems in print, I didn’t think so when it went by my ears,” he said. “I probably should have looked to soften it. |

In these deep solitudes and awful cells, Where heav'nly-pensive contemplation dwells, And ever-musing melancholy reigns; What means this tumult in a vestal's veins? Why rove my thoughts beyond this last retreat? Why feels my heart its long-forgotten heat? Yet, yet I love! — From Abelard it came, And Eloisa yet must kiss the name. Dear fatal name! rest ever unreveal'd, Nor pass these lips in holy silence seal'd. Hide it, my heart, within that close disguise, Where mix'd with God's, his lov'd idea lies: O write it not, my hand — the name appears Already written — wash it out, my tears! In vain lost Eloisa weeps and prays, Her heart still dictates, and her hand obeys. Relentless walls! whose darksome round contains Repentant sighs, and voluntary pains: Ye rugged rocks! which holy knees have worn; Ye grots and caverns shagg'd with horrid thorn! Shrines! where their vigils pale-ey'd virgins keep, And pitying saints, whose statues learn to weep! Though cold like you, unmov'd, and silent grown, I have not yet forgot myself to stone. All is not Heav'n's while Abelard has part, Still rebel nature holds out half my heart; Nor pray'rs nor fasts its stubborn pulse restrain, Nor tears, for ages, taught to flow in vain. |

Executive Summary
Abelard loves Eloise. Eloise loves Abelard. It is a sin.
They repent. He cuts off something and goes to a monestary. She goes to a convent. While they never stop loving each other, they love God more. But the poem has so much more feeling to it. (Note also that I believe this is the first use of "shagg'd" in the English language). |

This forgiveness talk is boring. But sinning fucking rawks. Even if my sinning these days is mostly limited to things like gluttany and lust. Oh, and sloth. And there's always the coveting. Ollie (I'd covet my neighbor's ass if I lived next door to E/O) Ramone |

I'm no Rush fan, but who anointed Al Franken as the anti-Rush? Calling the guy a "big fat idiot" is all he's got? Personally, I don't care what Rush says and I don't care what the guy who inflicted Stuart Smalley and a stupidass movie about Stuart Smalley on the world says either... |
