Are you saying that only hot guys drive hot cars? Because it's mostly the opposite. The hottest cars are driven by fat balding old men - for the most part.

I think he thought he was hot.

I have seen those cars that nfh posted a picture of around. The people in them always, ALWAYS reek "I think I am so hot."

I think he's saying that a hot guy would have gone for, like, a regular car rather than the weird white upholstery old convertible.

No, I'm saying the obverse.*

* Or whatever it's called. No hot guy** would drive a boxy, 20 year-old electric blue car with white pleather.

** ETA: Hot as defined by anyone other than fringe, who would find a donut-shaped guy hot.

I'm thinking there's a better chance of a hot guy (quirky maybe) in a funky car than in a beater. Maybe he was looking for Erisa.

This is just the sort of careful insight that has made you such a valuable member of our little circle of cool, lo these many years. What are you wearing?

I'm wondering if she'll suck it. Since she still hasn't filled us in on her blowjob technique, maybe Thurgreed can give us a review.

notcasesensitive 08-17-2006 02:35 PM

My Rant

For the record, I could care less whether ppnyc is hot or not. That was never the point of any of my interactions with her. I don't care what clothes she wears, I don't care whether she is an attorney or "staff". What I care about are the really ugly views she continually espouses about other women. I don't consider myself to be a huge feminist, but her treatment of other women on this board and views about what should make women happy are offensive to me. I am offended, as a woman, by statements that only women who are married with kids could possibly be happy and everyone else is an unhappy, bitter, lonely fraud. I am offended when her counter to a woman who disagrees with her is that the woman must be ugly and not in a relationship. I wish there weren't women in the world who held the views that she claims to hold. I think that her views do a great disservice to women generally, and particularly to women who have taken the time and effort to make careers and lives for themselves that don't revolve solely around whether they have men in their life.

So, Penske, don't give me this "what an unfair pile-on to poor, innocent little ppnyc". The stuff she spews here is vile and hateful towards other women and it is perfectly reasonable for some of us to point out to her that we take offense to her entire line of thinking. No that she gives us any indication that she gets what we are saying most of the time, but at least we can try to impart the message.

In other words, I'm perfectly happy for her to be non-substantive. Not my beef at all.

Just to clarify, she said that having kids and a husband made her more balanced. She didn't say happy. But of course we all know that what makes you more balanced and happy is having gone to grad school. Or college.

Sheesh. I'm a never-married, without kids, female attorney in my thirties that's jealous of those who have all of those things I don't because I devoted myself to my career instead of a man, and now I have to feel more unhinged because my right tit is bigger than the left? Way to kick a girl while she's down.
