I am SO buying you a beer this weekend.

OMFG, do you not understand English? Sigh, I guess I will have to spell it out. You talked about divorce as "doing something" [harmful] to children (implying bnb (and, by extension, anyone else there) was being selfish, etc.). I threw up an example of something I knew you would not agree with in order to point out the a) subjectivity and b) idiocy of your comment (at least in the way it was put forth). The points, since you seem to need them spelled out, and very slowly, are that you don't know jack about what you're trying to say, and that it's possible someone could find fault in your own situation as legitimately as you find it in hers.

Dear, it was a joke. You know, the very one you bring up at every turn to try to show you're able to laugh at yourself when you know good and well you can't? Yeah, that one.

2. While I also see Southerners as Neanderthal-like repressed and repressive, backwards, throw backs to Plantation days, I would never post something so hurtful.

What a stupid fucking thing to say.

Dude, have you ever seen Cribs? I think the NBA players overall have the nicest houses/wives, or at least the ones that appeal to my tastes.

I know I shouldn't be the one to point this out, but I find these two things very funny, given who you are talking to.

Ok, nono was making a hypothetical -- her point was that just as "some people" might say that a divorce damages a couple's children without knowing much about the situation, those same "some people" say (again without knowing the situation) that a mother should be the one who stays at home with the children, not the father, and that the kids are somehow damaged because daddy takes them to story time at the library instead of mommy.

It ain't a good comparison. There is no study to say kids are damaged by dad taking Billy to library as opposed to mom, but there is genuine evidence divorce is damaging to kids.

Mm-hmm. Yes, I can tell by the restraint of hysteria in your posts it's all part of a calculated plan.
