Chocolate cake

Speaking of cake, one of the desserts at Michael Mina is chocolate cake baked with black olives. I told my husband. He said he'd throw up if there were black olives in his chocolate cake. He's a purist. The only thing he wants in his chocolate cake is chocolate and cake.

I sent RT my suggested name a while ago. I named it "go fuck yourself, gwnc."

Actually, I didn't.

But now I'd like to change it to that.

Slave, the "elopement" is not until next week. we will not be having cake, but my friend who threw us an engagement party was horrified that we wouldn't be having a wedding cake so she ordered us a mini-wedding cake for the party and it had a top tier that we froze. Unfortunately we froze it in tin foil and now I've learned that it will taste like shit because I didn't use plastic wrap. But I don't know if that means our marriage will last or not.

Maybe we should just have tiramisu at the wedding and that way I will be prepared for the imminent collapse of the marriage.
The cake probably hasn't gotten (very) freezer-burned yet, so maybe if you unwrap and then rewrap in plastic wrap and put it in a freezer bag and suck all the air out before you seal it, it can be saved?

That's a good suggestion. do you they make plastic freezer bags in sized larger than one gallon? This is a large top tier.

"Ha" was significantly better than the majority of thread titles here. History will prove me right.

In other news, I discovered this morning that it is far more interesting to pick out swim suits, tank tops, cotton dresses and other "resort wear" online than it is to do billable work. Stop the presses.

Has it been busy for you? with the mortgage sub prime thing and the credit market implosion it has been a tad quiet.

I thought you said "how knots farm" and I was sort of excited. I mean, I know that they farm berries, but how??????

tried d'oliva, red fire and Oaxaca. they all sound good, but the flavors don't stand up to the dark chocolate. bacon was great, but the curry coconut was the best. OTOH, my family disagreed about which had the flavor overwhelmed. My son thought the curry flavor was buried, as an example.

Confidential to coltrane: if you want an eva post you'll have to be more direct. Write "string theory" or "smart chicks are ugly."
My brother makes truffles every christmas throwing in stuff like chili powder, ginger, lavender and other assorted items he finds around the kitchen. Most of the experiments have gone over fairly well.

RT went to lunch as soon as the K race ended.

RT came back from lunch and immediately changed the name.

I love every kind of attention, so that title would make me happy. Thanks, Coltrane.

edited to note that the current title makes me happy as well.

This summer, my mother's cook made a raspberry bread pudding. About halfway through eating it, I encountered a garlic clove. And then another. And then another.

I asked him about it.

Turns out he'd bought a loaf of bread that, unbeknownst to him, had garlic cloves in it.

This is kind of a boring story, but it was funny at the time.

The highlight of most people's billable mornings is taking a shit.

this morning I had a gentle handsome man place his fingers under one side of my testicles, then the other, then he had me bend over and he inserted a finger up my anus. he stopped there, and i headed back to the work. to be honest, I've spent the day thinking of paths not travelled so far in my life.
