I like John Mayer, but I really dislike that song. The first time I heard it, I kept waiting for a punch line.

"Your Body is a Wonderland," however, is fantastic. I guess this makes me a 14 year old girl. Mrs. Not Bob likes it too -- so much so that she forgave John for writing it about Jennifer Love Hewitt instead of her.
Some of his stuff is alright, but I agree that Daughters is awful. The surprising thing about John Mayer is that he is a remarkably good guitar player. The only young guy who was invited to the Crossroads festival in Dallas last year, and he held his own with people like Eric Clapton, Jeff Beck and Stevie Ray's brother. That festival is now available on DVD for any guitar players who are interested. A certain guitar player I know has already watched it a few times. It is basically a clinic on classic rock, rhythm and blues guitar.

I suppose this should be on the death pool board.
Now I feel bad for making fun of his teeth. Though I guess he doesn't mind anymore.

This makes me almost as sad as when that whore killed Phil Hartmann.

Saturday (Christmas Day) and Sunday (no booze either) had many a Hoosier fleeing for their border states. Back to back no booze sales is inhumane. If I'm stuck in Indiana, I want to be really drunk.
I was at Spec's on Christmas Eve, and they kept on reminding people over the loudspeaker that state law requires all package stores to be closed on Christmas day and on Sunday. They encouraged everyone to consider that the liquor stores would not be open for two days and to make their booze purchases accordingly.

Yeah, I guess it's a whole lot easier to drive to Michigan than it is to Oklahoma...

It depends on where you start, but if you're going to OK for booze on xmas or a Sunday, you will be disappointed.

The bars are open on both days (though not before noon), so you're not SOL if you run out. You'll just end up spending a hell of a lot more for a bottle of Jack.

Has anyone heard of this outfit? They send different wines to you every month -- are they any good?

You might be thinking of Marilyn Manson's Devil In My Lunchbox...now, that's a great little ditty.

Seeing as we've been reading a lot of them in recent days, I thought I'd mention that I just watched the remake of The Manchurian Candidate.

Not only was I pleasantly surprised, I thought it was one of the best films of the year.

Even after our love fest yesterday, Slavie, you are fired as my movie critic. The best film of the year, far and away, is Riding Giants.
