Bush, responding to Kerry's statement that two news organizations called Bush's criticisms of Kerry's budget misleading: "I'm not so sure we should trust leading news organizations for. . . . [Smirk] Well, never mind."

Maybe this stuff plays well to his fans, but I don't think it convinces the undecideds or calms voters with serious questions about him.

IF you are talking about GWB, you are way off. He is absolutely right when he says one of the major problems with our system is that the ultimate consumer is insulated from payor decisions. The average american is too stoopid to understand that. He is also right about importing drugs from Canada. That would kill the stimulus for R&D that brings us all these life prolonging/saving meds. The problem is that countries like Canada and the european countries won't pay their fair share and the american consumer subsidizes the pharma R&D while the rest of the world benefits from it.
