I care a lot. In fact, I'm up late tonight pondering it now.

Thurgreed felt up my imperfections in a disparaging manner. It affected me.

You know, if the three pages of posts are about ppnyc and her lunacy, it really negates the effectiveness of the ignore button.

What if we all ignored ppnyc for a week? Would the board be better or worse? If it was better, problem solved. If it was worse, and we needed ppnyc to have something to discuss, then we could recall her from the land of Fu.

Am I missing something? Is arguing with ppnyc some sort of global proxy fight for the board? You're mad at your spouse, but you don't want to argue with 'em so you respond to some inane thing that ppnyc said. You bounce a few posts back and forth, finally venting and realizing that your spouse is nowhere near as delusional as ppnyc, so you can stand another night with your spouse? Is that how this all works?

I have a friend who used to date this guy who never left a tip on the premise that "they get paid to work here, nobody tips me at work." She couldn't take it, she used to sneak money under the plate and stuff, but eventually she ended it with him. It's a bad precedent for other things, like Christmas and birthday presents. He was opposed to buying flowers too because it was just a ruse to spend money on dead plants.

Only once have I stiffed a waitress. We were eating someplace I was a regular at on a weekday afternoon. There was one other occupied table. It took us 45 minutes to have our order taken, 45 minutes to get the food and 45 minutes to get the bill. The orders were wrong but eaten anyway because she never checked to see if everything was OK.

I once had a roommate who wouldn't tip. If he and 2 other people went out to eat he would slide the tips that they left individually to the middle of the table. After a while, we started going out to eat hush hush only when he was in the bathroom.

It is a well documented fact that I have no self-control.

Also, it's really difficult to sit idly by while a person who doesn't even know you disparages you for no apparent reason.

Nonetheless, I will ignore her for the next 7 days. It's my pledge to you, Jack, in the interest of sanity and science.

I was watching TV and that viagra "guy watching baseball game" commercial came on. Something about it really bugged me, and it took awhile to figure out what it was.

Viagra is this high technology pharma-development, right? big drug companies doing god's work with billion dollar labs, so this poor guy can get a boner?

But when he decides to go bang the wife he goes low tech- he puts in a VHS tape. isn't the image only dull-normal people would use the stuff? I mean the product starts with a target audience that must be somewhat self-deprecating in the first place THEN you add in its for people who don't even have TIVO. too many contrary messages if you ask me.

I also don't want the futile debating to continue but I heard a pertinent fact last night. There was a show on PBS about kids and divorce that I didn't watch but I did check out the first minute or so. In that time, I heard the statistic quoted that of all the children whose parents divorce, 75 percent adjust and do fine in their lives.

I remember doing this, but we left a tip of something like $1.50 on a $60 tab, just so there wouldn't be any misunderstanding.

You need Viagra for you mind. I saw that commercial for the first time last night. First thing I thought, 2 milliseconds after he holds up the tape is "what the hell is someone doing with a VHS tape?"

FWIW, the woman has nothing on the Cialis "my man" woman.

Viagra's target customer is still getting used to the advent of VHS, and doesn't want to hear about newfangled stuff like TiVo.

if he can't figure out to push a protruding button, why is she so anxious to get him in the bedroom?

I think it is extra for Super 100s wool. and top stitching.

Even though every one ridicules me about being "conservative"?

That's what I was saying. A guy like you, in denial, and ashamed would focus on the detail like that, avoiding the message. only a guy that doesn't need to hear the message can simply take in the whole commercial.
