Splenda is a invert sugar. It's more natural than equal, and more stable when heated. It's greatest virtue is that it supposedly tastes more like real sugar and you can cook with it.

Well, this brings me full circle back to the moral issues I was going to contemplate today relating to gene altering, gene enhancement, genetic testing of the foetus, etc. I started thinking about it after watching a PBS show, er, uh, I mean a reality TV show about mapping the genome and basically modern eugenics. Oh, fuck it, I'll just admit it. I was kayaking last night. But I was thinking about genetic testing while doing so.
