I know PLENTY of lawyers who have jumped ship in less than 2 years who have UNBELIEVABLE jobs, inside the law and out, so lets just end that discussion right there. It was a fucking ridicubukkakess and absurd argument to suggest otherwise.

Fuck...I should have done what all of my friends did and gotten my MBA...

Well, here in Podunk, we litigators have to put our bar number on pleadings. I am certain that at least one opposing litigant has checked on me to make sure that I really am a lawyer.

Also, when you have a case in another jurisdiction, and want to appear pro hac vice, the other jurisdiction sometimes asks for your bar number and checks to make sure that you are really admitted.

And at the courthouse in Beaucoup Egypt, a bar card gets you past the long line at the metal detector. (For the record, I never do it because it makes me feel too guilty to jump in front of all the people who are trying to get to the cattle-call hearings in traffic court before the bailiff locks the door.)

Well, maybe it was you know like 2 years and a couple months because they started right after the bar instead of taking a bar trip, and you are forgetting that you started a couple months later.

Joke.

Unless of course you were gonna go to a shitty MBA program, in which case you would probalby be coldcalling from a boiler room. More shit.

Fringe to Sebastian after their first night together

"Oh, darling! I had no idea you have such a small organ."

Sebastian

"I would have said something, but I had no idea I'd be playing in a Cathedral!"
Hank Chinaski- sheepishly

"Whoa. a cue card from an old Bob hope TV Special. how the hell did that get into my rotation?"

Money's cheap these days. If you have loans, consolidate them NOW and just go do something else.

Yes, everyone else seems to be agreeing with your position.

You really hate yourself don't you?

I don't know how you can possibly be so obtuse when you claim such creativity. You're more closed-minded than the prole lawyers you resent.

What does this have to do with the price of tea in china. You and burger and sebby argue out of the same mode. its mighty weak.

my position has been agreed with, not that that has anythign to do with anything. I was just trying to give you sage job advice. Dont look like a job hopper. You are warned.

And if you dont agree with me on the MBA thing, might I suggest you call up the University of CHicago business school , or HBS, or SBS and see what the requirements for getting in are, two years of business experience, and I dont mean delivering newspapers for daddy, Skippy.

Tell that to my 2 friends who just graduated from UC. They might disagree, but what do they know?

Cite please. Seriously. Top biz schools require two years job experience.

Anyway, this is a stupid argument since it is about easily proven facts (ie go to business school application websites and look it up). I am a tired old woman, Skippy, and I have work to do. I gave you my advice, which you can reject if you like, I dont care. But I cant sit here and argue about whether you should regret not getting an MBA like it was an option.

I won't spoil anything b/c ESPN is not running the shows until June 8, but if you want updates, chip counts and commentaries, you can go here - http://www.thegoodgamblingguide.co.u...pionship.htm#1

Biggest tourney ever - first prize will be $5MM, up from $2.5MM last year. The power of TV poker, I suppose.

Phish is breaking up (boo fucking hoo)

PS -- Shifty, Moneymaker went out about 2 days ago at the WSOP... they are currently nearing the cutoff for people who will finish in the money. A little over 200 of the 2600 or so who started remain.

Top 4 all get at least a million, first is $5 million, second is $3.5 million.

You only think it's that small because when it saw you it recoiled in horror.
