Poll -- does your spouse/SO/ISO know about the FB?
My husband knows all about the "lawyer board" but I don't know if I ever mentioned the FB by name. He's pretty supportive of it, even going along with my hosting a couple of brunches at the house and going out with GA groups now and then.

A clip for the MJ home movie shows PMJ the First saying "My name is Prince Michael Jackson and I love my Daddy." This is like the "classy, intelligent, successful" thing that PP, DS, and all were discussing earlier today. Why in the world would you have to train your little kid to say that he loves you? It's not like he's a teenager -- he's still at the age where he should have demonstrable natural affection for his Dad. What's next? "My name is Prince Michael Jackson and my Dad does not engage in genital self-discovery with me." |

I mean, naming your kid "Prince" bc you are the King of Pop (or are in your mind) does not make you royalty. That alone should be proof that MJ is too delusional to be a proper parent., Are peole that delusional allowed to keep custody of theirkids in the real world? |

Poll -- does your spouse/SO/ISO know about the FB?
The str8 fiancee knows that I follow a lawyer message board that focuses on fashion and reality TV. She knows because some bits here are so good that I can't help but share them with her. Similarly I steal many of her observations here and pass them off as my own. I think she'd like this board, but she's got a bit of a "too cool for school" feeling about internet groups (the only ones she reads are the wedding ones, in the name of "research"). I don't think she'd be comfortable with the degree to which I lust after c2ed, RT, and GWNC.
By the way, I'm about ready to cut bait and run on the house. Thanks all for your good advice. On the other hand, if they chop $200K off the price . . . |

If you're a Dixie Chicks fan but you don't usually pick up Entertainment Weekly, this might be the week to check it out.

The name thing doesn't bother me too much. George Foreman didn't spend toom uch time pondering what to name his brood. Then again, he took a lot of blows to the head over the years so at least he has an excuse. |
Speaking of the "does your SO know about the FB" Poll...
Mr. PJ just suggested I pass along a bit of a movie review from CNN re: the new Ed Burns/Dustin Hoffman flick "Confidential':
apparently Ed Burns "has the sex appeal of Al Gore." I'm so proud. If I can get him to watch "Sorority Life" this week, I believe I'll have successfully brainwashed him. |
Secretary
So upon advice of one of you (who was it) we saw Secretary. I don't recall ever seeing someone so thrilled about being told to eat mashed potatoes and four peas.
And it certainly gives "I didn't hurt you did I" a whole new meaning. What a great movie (in a wonderfully perverse way) |
