Dissent. Hugh Laurie is sexier because he makes you want to jump House's bones even though he is scruffy looking, cranky and pops pills like TicTacs. McDreamy wouldn't be compelling without the great hair and nice eyes.

Hugh is sexier since he seems smarter than McDreamy who seems tres drippy.

You say that as if great hair and nice eyes (and nice body) is a bad thing. I am shallow. Remember?

And HA! I am vindicated. See above. I am now even happier with my selection.

My polish was chipped, not my nails. My nails are in tiptop shape. Just fyi. I think my polish was chipped more when I was married than when I was separated/divorced because I did not have the manicurist I have now. I'm not sure if that blows or supports your theory.

But here's the thing. I want you to prove to me that you're hot and/or real. So, I'm up to meet at sbux whenever you are ready. I imagine that you will tell me (in all caps) all about how you don't want to meet me because I'm mean or something, but it's on you. And that might make you feel pretty good, but I don't really care. You can respond here or on pm.

After meeting you, I will be completely honest with the board about whether you are hot or not. If you have nice tits, I will say so. If your grill is bent, I will say that too. And you are free to say whatever you like about me.

TM has my proxy on this one. If pp is hot, then all is forgiven and she's my new bestest friend, and if she's not, then business as usual.

Ahhh, flinty. I'm so glad to know WHY it is I'm your favorite.

Let's keep it on the QT as to favorite what.

Experiment

I purchased a 75 cm yoga/pilates/resistance ball at lunch today to replace my desk chair on the recommendation of my trainer. He said that my ass and back will look great after sitting on this thing for a couple of hours a day for a few weeks and that I'll be burning calories all day as I make small adjustments to the way I sit on this thing.

I'm doing a lot of other things to make my ass and back look better and I spend quite a bit of time burning calories at the gym, but I'll let you know what I think as this experiment progresses. So far I'm finding myself sitting a lot straighter, and I'm happier with the experiment now that I have the thing fully inflated. Earlier, I was sagging so much I could barely

I may even be inspired to roll back and do crunches every now and then.

Could be the new trend in office decor in my office.

do you know the risk factor for this actually doing any good?

The word "experiment" could be replaced with "study" or "test" or "research project". When I'm done with the experiment, I'll let you know what the relative risk is, though my sample size is pretty damned small to be particularly statistically significant.

Fine. If you must know, he and I, uh... rendez-vous'ed at the annual JASNA Meeting - slash - Orgy.

Ah, well, it gives you something to shoot for.

I didn't know who he was, and then I looked him up and still didn't know who he was, until I saw he was in Stuart Little. I saw that. He was good, but the animatronic anthropomorphic mouse upstaged him.

Once upon a time, I shared a locker room with the Trailblazer's practice facility. Unlike all of the other players, Kevin Duckworth always went home to shower. You're not a 7-foot tall fat guy, are you?

I hate hate hate backtracking in any form, particularly in the morning. So perhaps not objectively weird. ETA but note that you and Penske share this going-home-to-shower behavioral quirk; perhaps it is objectively weird.

rp, my gym is less than a block from where I work. The gym has to be close to work, or I never ever ever ever go.

Ah-ha! That's a good reason. I guess. Though, I used to do it in Chicago, and don't remember being very bothered. But I had no life (as in going out directly from work without passing through home).

100 years IPod

Sigh, so nostalgic

I'm 15 for a moment
Caught in between 10 and 20
And I'm just dreaming
Counting the ways to where you are
I'm 22 for a moment
She feels better than ever
And we're on fire
Making our way back from Mars
15 there's still time for you
Time to buy and time to lose
15, there's never a wish better than this
When you only got 100 years to live
I'm 33 for a moment
Still the man, but you see I'm a they
A kid on the way
A family on my mind
I'm 45 for a moment
The sea is high
And I'm heading into a crisis
Chasing the years of my life
15 there's still time for you
Time to buy, Time to lose yourself
Within a morning star
15 I'm all right with you
15, there's never a wish better than this
When you only got 100 years to live
Half time goes by
Suddenly you’re wise
Another blink of an eye
67 is gone
The sun is getting high
We're moving on...
I'm 99 for a moment
Dying for just another moment
And I'm just dreaming
Counting the ways to where you are
15 there's still time for you
22 I feel her too
33 you’re on your way
Every day's a new day...
15 there's still time for you
Time to buy and time to choose
Hey 15, there's never a wish better than this
When you only got 100 years to live
