the Tigers' pitching got back just in time. Bonderman had been stinking.

What was odd was in games 2 and 3, it seemed like the Yankees didn't try to push runs in. No bunts, no hit and run, it was like they just assumed they'd have a 6 run inning eventually.

I may actually go see a game now- and i hate that stadium.

NWTF: Oakland has the home field? Detroit won more games.

Oakland won its division.

Go East Bay! God knows the A's are going to have to do, since the Raiders and Warriors suck like TM's new appliance.

Posts like this make it so pitiably apparent how much you are threatened by me. You really needn't be. I assure you that I have no desire to have your life.

Amazin's!!!!

Nice win, there. Godspeed.

[And thank f'in god I didn't but those $400 ALCS tix assuming a Yanks-A's game 4]

As for us:

1) Firing Torre is an okay move - ONLY if they hire Girardi. Bringing in Pinella is a recipe for disaster with this team. DISASTER!!!! I understand the need for someone less laid back - Torre completely mismanaged pitching in Game 1 and should have started Melky in Game 3 - but Lou ain't the answer, especially when Mattingly and Guidry will have more sway with the veterans (not to mention the fans) from Day 1. If they name Lou, Cashman, Donnie Baseball and Gator should quit.

2) A-Rod, while not the prime reason for our fade-out, is the face of it. He's gotta go, even if it means we pay the other half of his salary (that Texas isnt already paying). The SF Giants or the Angels would love him. Bring up Eric Duncan. Play Miguel Cairo. Whatever. Just get rid of the trauma.

3) Sign Mussina. Thank Sheffield and say goodbye. Draft a catcher. And thank god that Boston will still end up in third next year behind Toronto.

Alas. Harumph.

Go Jets! Go Rangers! Go Sharks! Go Nittany Lions! Go Golden Bears!

Suggestion for the Yankees:

Keep Jeter and Canoe and get rid of everyone else in exchange for as many hard-throwing 18 year olds as you possibly can.

Arod would be a wonderful fit for Philly. Bandbox stadium, big gay community.

Thanks so much for the suggestion. TM's 2.5 rating is subjective. Thanks for playing.

And, maybe where you are it is "witty" and "edgy" to "shock" people by saying this over and over but I'm in NY. it isn't "shocking" you sound lame and hackneyed.

Slave, I really am stunned.

Anyway, I would have thought that Sweet Lou would have big credibility with the fans. From what I've read about Girardi's stint in Miami, his desire for complete control would make him coaching for George a huge disaster.

Any chance Buck Showalter gets a call? Personally, I think that George would be an idiot to let Torre go, but he ain't asking me.

Oh, and how awsome did Shanahan look the other night? I hope that I was wrong about his signing -- he may have a couple of more years let in him.

Shanahan was brought here for the playoffs, plain and simple. He knpws how to put the puck in the net.

Lou is too much of a loose cannon.
