I would like to take this opportunity to point out that while diction may be defined in part as: the choice of words used in speech or writing, it is not the same as usage, which refers to the actual meaning or definition of words.
To demonstrate: the use of "all y'all" in the quoted post is an example of the ironic use of diction to create humor by making an erudite assertion through the choice of words and dialogue not traditionally associated with erudition. The use of "diction" as a heading for the quoted post is an example of improper usage to undermine the irony inherent in the use of "country-fied" diction by demonstrating a less than perfect degree of erudition.
