Yes. I'm just now taking time again to reach back out to boutiques and smaller stores, but in the last several years, between relocating to a new, somewhat fashion-challenged locale and having two kids and a couple jobs, MF provided pretty reliable, good-quality, one-stop, within-walking-distance-of-work clothes for work and play, actually). F'ing Macy's is discontinuing all kinds of good lines, particularly in petites, where I get about half my things. And RP's right, the atmosphere in Macy's sucks. It's like a barely upscaled KMart. Garish, like their logo.

I'd shop at MF b/c it was only a few blocks from work. Walk over after work, pick up a b-day present, jump on the El and head home.

Target is inexpensive. Gap is inexpensive. Ann Taylor is mid range. Not high end, not like Saks or Bendel's but still, 100 or so for pants and skirts and maybe I don't even know for a jacket, 199? Ann Taylor is not for big women it is cut slimmer than Talbots' and has a petite's section. I think it could be called sub bridge sportswear. Dana Buchman and Ellen tracy are bridge.

Sorry just checked 228 for jackets, 128 for pants.

Again, Ann taylor isn't hip but i like it

why does everyone assume that I brag about stuff? I like ann taylor but do not feel it is particularly trendy
