I might have to see this after all.
if you're going to see it, see it in its enviroment. We are going to Bow Legs, OK. to see it with the Central OK. Baptist church- should be some solid anti-semite commentary. Next Tuesday, can you make it?

Fueled by national controversy and an Ash Wednesday opening, "The Passion of the Christ," Mel Gibson's new film about the Crucifixion, took in $23.5 million at the box office on its opening day.

This thing is playing on more screens than Return of the King, and shows at popular times are sold out for the next couple weeks. Even if this is kinda wingnut country, it's still pretty impressive. Nice mix of religion and lucre.

Joe Viterelli. Dead at 66. Did not have him in dead pool. Linkage

Staples, Randy. Very easy.

ETA: Apparently he died several weeks ago, but it's just hit the news this week. Worth noting b/c of general excellence in portrayal of mafia heavies.

Is that near Broken Bow? I hear there are many members of the tribe there. Don't know about the Jewish population, though.

Yeah, I would have posted it if anyone had picked him to let them repick. I've been watching death news quite closely this week for that very reason. I keep expecting Reagan to drop off Saturday and throw the entire pool into a tizzy.

Cool, but WTF is Serena wearing more on the beach volleyball court than she's every worn on a tennis court?

So Much For My Law Degree...

The Feds simultaneously raided numerous ITT Technical School locations today, apparently in some kind of academic financial aid fraud investigation...

Could the "Draw Winky" Art School be next?

In other news, has anyone seen the new Tiger Woods commercial where he takes on the Bill Murray role of groundskeeper Carl Spackler in a Caddyshack takeoff, complete with slurred speech and gopher? The clip I saw of it was abso-fucking-lutely hilarious...

64 new billionaires this year

Someone's doing something right.
your top 10 list
Rank Name Country Net worth

1. William Gates III United States $46.6 billion

2. Warren Buffett United States $42.9 billion

3. Karl Albrecht Germany $23 billion

4. Prince Alwaleed Bin Talal Alsaud Saudi Arabia $21.5 billion

5. Paul Allen United States $21 billion

6. Alice Walton United States $20 billion

7. Helen Walton United States $20 billion

8. Jim Walton United States $20 billion

9. John Walton United States $20 billion

10. S Robson Walton United States $20 billion
I guess it was a good year for Walmart.
Among this year's billionaires are some real surprises. In a fairy tale as fantastic as her popular Harry Potter series, former welfare mother J.K. Rowling makes her debut on the Forbes list. So do two geeks who have barely turned 30: Sergey Brin and Larry Page, who created the ultrapopular Google search engine and are expected to take their company public this year.

Now everytime you use Google you can think to yourself - hey, I just made a billionaire richer.

Biggest jump this year was Buffet. And I don't see Oprah.

Oh yeah, I saw that last night. No idea how they did the Vick/Urlacher playing hockey scene, other than to have them on skates. Vick's skating is pretty terrible -- clue number one that it's somewhat real.

BUt yeah, the best commercial ever. When it got the RJ stuff I almost peed my pants.

This is a fucking disaster. Where the money is, the culture follows. Expect to see "Savior! The Birth of Baby Jesus," staring Jude Law as Joseph and Scarlett Johnansen as Mary; and "The Lonelist Walk: 40 Days and 40 Nights of Suffering" starring Giovanni Ribisi; and "Ultimate Betrayal!" with Taye Diggs as Judas. As if this country needed more wingnuts. You just wait. 2005 will be the year of the Christian movie.

But wait, you might say. Don't the jews control Hollywood? True dat, but it's Jews who want to be associated with a number one movie. And if that means making wingnut propoganda, let's roll tape.

Fucking fuck fuck.

Anyone want to put a side bet on RWR lasting out 2004? Message me if you want some action. I say he lives to see '05.

That's it.

As we speak, the jewish entertainment mafia is writing your name on a very short list.

You'll never have tomato bisque in this town again, baby.

Shalom.

Just in case you want an excuse to carry around a couple weapons and a carpet patch, here's an article on Urban Golf . Like Ultimate Frisbee, except with much less running and a higher likelihood of getting arrested.

Although the article doesn't mention it, A pro told me that if you hook your balls into a federal courthouse, don't expect to get your metal woods through security.

Don't be jelly. To a lot of big city yuppie lawyers the patch is another country. You could impress them with tales of ice fishing, moon shine distilling, and bible burning.
