Someone at work who I think is (with reason) paranoid about getting laid off is trying to blame something on me while simultaneously saying no, she's not. Someone please slap her silly. On the plus side, no one other than her thinks that the something in question is all that important.

If you bend at all, you probably have rolls. Can you avoid rolls when sitting? I think not.

I have never had actual folds anywhere when standing up. I think you may need to discuss this with ppnyc.

What are people's thoughts on the Laura et al v. Jeff situation?

I think Jeffrey is an entertaining jerk (and extremely unattractive, along with his girlfriend - YUCK - but their kid is cute), and Laura isn't my fave (and her husband looks like Einstein - I cannot imagine making children with him), so I am not firmly in either camp, but I do think Laura et al is out of line.

Granted I am not a designer, but if I were in a competition, damn straight I would have everything done before flying to NYC, especially since this is what, the third season or so and we have all seen the twists and turns that are thrown in? I just don't get the big controversy and I will probably be pissed if Jeffrey is thrown out.

I am a fan of Michael Knight (as is apparently everyone else) but WTF is up with the braces? I don't remember thinking his teeth were a problem to begin with?

Uli looks WAY older than 35. I like her, but she looks really worn or something.

No rolls when sitting, nor when bending. I have lost two inches off my waist and three off my chest. I have never had folds when standing either, and what's more, I wasn't the one discussing my rolls o' flesh within the last 24 hours; you were.

Speaking of wine, I had a nice, inexpensive ($34 at a restaurant/about $15 retail) zinfandel last night, courtesy of the guy next to me who did not finish his entire bottle (Hank, I'm sure you can relate to this - not the not-finishing-the-bottle part, of course, but the doomed-to-fail plying-the-youngish-woman-next-to-you-with-free-wine part.). Edmeades, and not bad. Lightish for a zin.

I think it's pretty cool, but then I'm either too morbid or not morbid enough.)

I personally can't stand any of those egg sandwich things. Once in my life in Gunnison, CO I had a really, really good bagel/egg/cheese/bacon sandwich from a local place, but that is the only one ever that was remotely yummy.

Way back when I worked at a pizza shop, we opened for breakfast and made breakfast sandwiches. They were very popular. We would put in a small fry pan 2-3 whipped eggs and your choice of mozzarella cheese, bacon, ham, crumbly pizza sausage (like sbarro's sells -- not the sliced kind you find on most pizzas), pepperoni and onions, peppers or whatever else you would find on a pizza. They were served on a roll.

They were a hit and unbelievably delicious. Of course, we put a full tablespoon of butter in every pan before frying them up because (1) people loved it and (2) we were lazy and the sandwiches slipped right out.

Al Roker would come in every day (when he was still local, I think) and order one to eat there and two to go. He always wanted extra cheese, pepperoni and sausage. We thought he was disgusting.

Ty, I highly recommend subbing in sausage, just to try, if you are in the market for a McD's breakfast again any time soon.

If you aren't in the mood to wait for a special order, try the sausage, egg & cheese McGriddle. The sweetness of the pancake thingys is a nice contrast to the sausage.

BTW, it's snowing again and I am Not Happy about it. Fringey, you better shelve the "sky is blue" comments until either (a) this cold spell is past or (b) I feel like it is legitimately late enough in the season for snow and cold. someone at the table next to you offered you a few glasses of cheap wine and you accepted? I would never think to offer that. Maybe its because I would assume anyone who would take that would jump at the more direct offer to blow me under the table cloth for $10.
