It's against my religion to go off on a harangue with my cock out.
I'm confused as to what in is and what out is.

And you feel a kinship with him? I sure hope Sequels isn't pregnant.

You all are making me kind of grateful for my atheist commie parents though. So thanks. I think I will be nicer to them.
My father has five brothers, I don't know how they do it, but they all are very different politically, and are all absolutely sure they are 100% right when it comes to their views on all the issues. My father makes Ty look like a reactionary conservative and the uncle I was named after makes Buchanan seems like a reasonable liberal. It wouldn't be so bad if some of them actually read an article or watched the news at some point in their lives, but they all have opinions and no facts.

At family reunions, when politics every comes up everyone (except my uncles) leaves the room. That has actually worked quite well. Politics didn't come up once at the last reunion.

And no. Not a harangue. Harangues are bad for children.
Yes, but you can use one to cut down the mightiest oak tree in the forest.

I was in such a room-clearing discussion once, with my brothers and father, and resolved then and there never to discuss politics with my family again. (In my defense, I was only about 18.)

But seriously -- unless this was directed at you, or someone in particular (someone who the family knows is very involved with the ACLU), I wouldn't bother. There's no hope.

If it is directed at someone in particular, the most I would do is a private conversation with him, to tell him nicely that those comments are no appreciated.

Though if it were my dad, I wouldn't bother even under those circumstances, as this sort of comment is a 2 on his rudeness scale.
the teacher makes the kids thank her? I'd get my kid out of that classroom right quick.

Coltrane wouldn't be caught dead in french cuffs. He's unpretentious. Unless the cufflinks were cocks. Or beer cans.

I'm so hurt that I'm pretentious. As are half of my firm apparantly and all the bankers too. We bleed too you know.

Katherine Heigl would look awesome naked in my bed. Back when I was single, of course.
