But you are correct that the fat female was a MUCH better singer than the fat male. The only excuse is that Paula is randy (heh] and almost always gives a thumbs-up to a male over a female of equal quality. Add to that the fact that Simon always votes for the hot chicks and Randy feels empathy for the fat men and you end up with a lot of hot as well as ugly men in the finals and only hot women. After all, Clay and Ruben have proven that ugly and unattractive men can do well commercially but Kelly (although a bit chubby) is still fairly cute so the judges have no confidence that an unattractive woman can sell records. It's like they've never seen a Pink video or something.
