My wife is watching an old West Wing on Tivo right now. The Christmas one with the Whiffenpoofs.

I hate hate hate* the fucking Whiffenpoofs. I hate them with an irrational passion. I hate them with the fire of a thousand burning suns, if those suns are suns of pure hatred. If you were a Whiffenpoof or are close to someone who was or is, I hate you, too, even if you are a nice person. It is my life's ambition to kill a Whiffenpoof with my bare hands.

Personally, I think you should reverse which phrase the "only" precedes, but that's probably just b/c I despise long-distance travel and have a skewed perspective from most.

And AdL's stats obviously shocked me even more:

Myself: 40 states, 2 foreign countries (the least foreign, that is)

I am missing Alasksa; a few states in the PNW & northern Rockies, which I will rectify soon; and a handful of itty bitty northeastern states.

Of course, I am also a fucking former military brat that has lived in 9 states, and all four time zones in the lower 48, so that inflates my domestic travel stats quite a bit. I actually told myself once that I would visit all 50 states before traveling to Europe... I thought I was kidding, but perhaps not!

I was fortunate to have lived and traveled abroad quite a bit. Conversely, my map of the US on the site had a gaping hole of yellow in the middle., hence only 27 states.

Rather than go to Italy for a couple of weeks for his 30th birthday, my brother wanted to build a trip around going to Graceland to laugh at people.

We finally got our itinerary to Graceland, Vegas, New Orleans over the course of a week, when his stupid job interfered. It's still on our trip list.
