Yeah, dealing with New Yorkers is fun. But dealing with the brand of New Yorkers who frequented Port Authority bus station (and the idiot tourists) may have shaped my personality somewhat. Because I'm much nicer now than I used to be.

Hey, I'm bad to the bone. I consistently speed and I think that I once stole a piece of gum. Actually, that might have been my sister.

Uh, well, it would be, for anyone you might be describing.
Yeah, but you're into DA, which makes up for not stealing.

Mumblings, grumblings and the Stanley Cup

1. Speed kills. Always. In every sport.

2. At least I have a kid who won't grow up to be a wuss like Iginla. Rumor had it Iggy plays less hard against people he knows. At least my kid, who's skulled his best friend (and his dad more than once) and who pulled down his hockey coach on a breakaway, won't have that problem.

3. Tampa is looking like a pretty groovy place. Now, once they win some baseball games that town will be cooking.

4. I will be really happy if Ben Wallace chews Koby's face off tonight.

I hate the name of the thread right now. It's depressing and I don't care about the continuation of the theme. The FB is supposed to be fun, not a constant reminder of our mortality and the fleeting nature of our existence and the even more fleeting quality of any enjoyment we have in our lives.

OMG. How can that happen? I'd have had a stroke for sure. Two hours in a freakin drive-thru? My blood pressure is going up just thinking about it.

In happier (and sadder) news, it looks like my office will be closed Friday for our national day of mourning ( :( ) -- eh, who am I kidding, :D !!

And in unmitigatingly happy news, I took the morning off work to go to another trapeze class. I've got the knee-hang catch thing down pat, except that I tend to fly off the trapeze before the guy has caught me, which you're not supposed to do from a knee hang, because you go sailing into the guy catching you like a missile.

Next time, I'm definitely doing the "release" catch. Who-hooo!

Yes, but I care so much that I did this one thing, to make you happy.

You are welcome.

(Good thing you can change it.)

ETA, ok I put it back. Now you can be depressed again.

I can attest that life is not fleeting, nor is the enjoyment of it. That's all a myth, fabricated by the pharmaceutical companies to boost sales of antidepressants. Go play hooky.

Is it sad that this reminds me of "Back to School"?
