I've noticed a reduction in the amount of spam and a corresponding reduction in my penis and breast sizes, my earning potential, and my inkjet supply.

The reduction, however, is not as great as was the increase in spam to my hotmail account after MSN rolled out MSN 8 with improved (i.e., not free) spam protection. At that point it seemed like Hotmail just let the spammers loose in an effort to drive me to MSN 8.

They actually need to ban this?
 

One guy claims to be able to do just that. He also listened to his mom, who gave him the $500 it cost to have his tongue sliced on three occasions by a razor, without anesthesia.

hotmail's antics drove me to yahoo!, which is happy to offer me improved spam protection, also for a price. although I seem to have settled into some sort of spamguard equilibrium, with nearly all spam getting filtered by one of my 100 blocked addresses/domains.

hotmail does, supposedly, ban any user from sending more than 100 emails in a day to cut down on outgoing spam.

Does anyone personally know someone who has done something permanent and prominent like fork their tongue, tattoo their face, put heinous spacers in their ears, etc.? I don't, although my younger spinning hippie sister does. The ones she knows are legitimate job-free and not sober enough ever to understand the concept of regret.

I wonder how many people do something like that and truly do regret it. You never really see "old" people with that kind of crazy stuff (unless they are the "old" people who do that kind of stuff to the youngins) -- which leads me to conclude that the type of people who do permanent prominent art to their bodies don't live long enough to regret it.

I was deeply saddened the day I saw the really cute guy with the GQ looks on the left side of his face and the tribal tat covering the right side.

I have a skull tattoo, but not on my face. My in-their-fifties and retired very not weird by most standards each actually got a couple of tattoos during the past few years. My dad got mom's name and then mine and my sister's on his arm -- his only regret is that he was offered a part-time to supplement the pension job at Disney World and they retracted it when he was measured for a uniform and the tattoos showed. Mom has a kitty face on her wrist and Garfield on her ankle.

I got mine when I was 16 and don't regret it. If nothing else, somebody can identify me if I am ever decapitated.

I've seen plenty of old people with tatoos on beaches, particularly California and Hawaii. You know, the "old surfer dude" types. Old tats aren't pretty -- that black/green mush that it turns into. Of course, it's usually covering up old scraggly skin, too, that's seen too much sun. But they don't really seem to care. All they want are some tasty waves and a cool buzz, and they're fine.

Only to an extent. Finding the Sign of the Beast on your scalp will narrow the ID of your remains to that of a narrow group. The remaining gap, I'm sure, could be closed through the use of dental records.
