That's insulting. Braising is a cooking method used for less tender cuts of meat.

I love the product of the Sangiovese grape. Blended into Chianti or standing alone as pure Sangiovese. Super Tuscan indeed!

They make wine in Texas, too, you know.
Quality is a little spotty at this point but they are improving. I had some good Mexican wine this past winter.

I had 2 pretty good California Pinots this week (Ollie, yes this is shocking, I know). A 2000 Husch and a 2002 Flowers from Cazadero California - wherever that is. They are not as fruity as the Oregon style, but smoother.

Hey, RT. So what is the deal with this first Vioxx verdict in Texas? $253 million? Tort reform hasn't passed there? What will that be chopped to on appeal?

Obligatory link.

I dont think this relates to Spanky and I do think that it is a cheap ploy to change the topic from the fact that the naysayers were wrong re: Spanky's ability to score on the Serb......but, whatever.

As for the Vioxx thing, were there allegations that the dead guy was abusing the stuff? those triathletes will pop any pill in furtherance of going faster. People tape motrin to their bikes to have a steady supply. Motrin combined with dehyrdration is bad for the liver or kidneys too.

The good people of Angleton have clearly weighed the situation and awarded accordingly. Seems like the justice system is working just as it was intended.

I'm reminded, though, of Judge Kent's musings on the friendliness of courts in Brazoria County.

Quote:

Though only here by removal, this humble Court by the sea is certainly flattered by what must be the worldwide renown of rural Texas courts for dispensing justice with unparalleled fairness and alacrity, apparently in common discussion even on the mountain peaks of Bolivia!

Thanks. What year? We went to the winery last year, but thought that the pinot was meh. I remembered liking it in the past (based on a rec from the guy at Pete's on Eastlake - ykwim). We also went to Edna Valley on the same trip and thought the new vintage Pinot was also meh. So we bought some leftover older stuff.

I think i have had the 2000 and maybe the 2001. I have also liked their Chard in the past. And yidkwym. Good store. My favourite place for the wine is Pike and Western.

Esquin is also good-very good to pick up something with some age on it.

Can ice wine be made from the Sangiovese grape?
