When I was at Chapman, we had macs. I generally liked a lot of things about the macs, like not having to worry about viruses. But there were a lot of things that were problematic. If you double-clicked on a button, or if you tried to cancel an operation, the mac would lock up. And, unlike a pc, where you can always do the control/alt/delete thing, when a mac freezes up, you're fucked. You can't even just hit the power switch and fire the mac up again because the switches are all software based rather than purely mechanical.
When macs work, they're great. When they don't, they're impossible to futz around with and get going again.
I may give the new macbook a chance one of these days for home, but I'll never trust one for work again.
