As a certain person might say, indeed. I don't really mind weirdness, but this was just messy and not tasty. And did nothing to improve the sex (and I know it takes two to tango but it could have used some improvement).

If you cared, you could have asked, and then I would have told you, as I've told several folks here via pm, that I'm an in-house studio lawyer (I'm not particularly concerned about being outed, duh). A fetish is when something that wouldn't normally turn someone on becomes an object of gratification. Like feet do it for some people. This guy just liked the look of blood. Paigow is pointing out that in Hollywood, just working at a studio doesn't mean you're really in the industry, which is notoriously insular. You have to be someone's kid, which is flat out impossible if you come from somewhere kooky like Canada or Austria. Californians -- even expats in places like DC -- will never accept a foreigner as one of them, so give it up.
