Um... how about something a little more cheery? Politics has permanently (well, permanently for today at least) dampened my mood.

I haven't seen any good movies lately, but am hoping to see The Incredibles over the weekend. It looks like a nice little pick-me-up.

I am curious as to what a "gas-powered pistol" is -- does it not use gunpowder? WTF? At first I thought of cordless leafblowers, but it's not like pistols use electricity, so my curiosity/ignorance remains.

I want to see Ray. I did want to see Team America, but maybe not for a bit -- it's too political.

I'm all over that tomorrow. I'll post a review.

Word is that Jessica Simpson and Nick Lachey's marriage is A-ok.

Doesn't that just make your day? Don't say I don't deliver for you, dtb.

Okay, just for you, dtb.

Poll: You are going away for a romantic weekend. Where do you go?

The Incredibles
The President of Pixar and I share the same Annual Spa Vacation (tm). (I and my mother (who comes on vacation with me some times) had no idea who he was). So we were all at dinner one night and meeting each other and the conversation came around to what we did and my mother asked him what he did and he said that he had an animation company (didn't say which one, so we just assumed he was some shmo). My mother knows nothing about animation and couldn't care less so she feigned interest in that for about half a second before regaling him with stories about her post-retirement career as a substitute teacher.

I was more polite (of course) and asked this little man what his little animation company was doing. And he said they were thinking about doing something with over-the-hill superheros.

So I had the inside scoop on this new movie and didn't even know it!!! Plus I didn't get to tell him how much I like Finding Nemo etc. But he probably gets that way too much anyway so I won't do it even when I see him on my next vacation.

Interesting you ask. SS and I discussed this yesterday. SS tells me that the keys to success with the laaydies require the following:

(1) Reservation, local Red Roof
(2) The Gold Box
(3) CD Player with remote
(4) Neil Sedaka's "Calendar Girl"
http://www.collectable-records.ru/im...aka/1/back.jpg
(5) Requisite supplies from Eckerd's. (Note: Remember scented candles!)

What do you think? Is he leading me astray?
