Better than nothing. The ideal length of nap is an hour. Anything above that makes matters worse. But if you can only get in a power nap of 30 min, that's ok. A 20 minute nap is too short.

No. Sorry. You anti-PJ movement, spurred several pro-PJ socks. Net negative.

In your favour, if I had not gotten bored first, you may have been able to drive Lo-berry away.

It's kind of like in junior high when you played 5 Minutes in Heaven, got locked in a closet with a girl, let her rub your cock, knowing she wouldn't finish, but still enjoying it up until the part when the door opened.

Okay, maybe it's not like that, but I will always take a quick nap, even if I feel worse when I wake up.

I put you on Lo-berry the second day. I'll admit you had me at first, but you fucked up early on with that one.

Second day here. Remember, there was short run up on Infirm too. I'll take a minour victory on that one, perhaps my last.

Yeah, you are right.

But I was bitter that I had to get out of bed. Otherwise, I would have slept in, rather than having to take a nap.

20 minutes is perfect. 30 is even better. I have a thick soft rug in my office for this very purpose.

Well, I was a litigator at the time I got picked, although only a 1st year, so hardly a trial lawyer yet. (The Houston based firm I later worked for told me they would make me a trial lawyer, and indeed they did. 6 weeks later I was 2nd chairing a trial, but I digress . . .)

Mine didn't either, and I am pissed (damn you TiVo!), but the "Find a Program to Record" feature indicates that there is a Nip/Tuck episode tomorrow night. There is no description, so I cannot tell if it is a repeat of the season premier, but am taping nonetheless.

NotFromHere 09-07-2006 08:14 PM

Damn you Tivo

In an effort to save you all lots and lots of time on the phone, do not call DirecTV re: the MPEG 4 satellite receiver with DVR (not Tivo). They will read from a script, put you on hold and then forward you to a person who supposedly knows something. Then they will hang up on you. Even though you're a fucking VIP customer. And they acknowledge that you're a fucking VIP customer. Then when you call back and ask to be fast-tracked to the appropriate person, they will tell you that that is unpossible and that you will have to wait in the fucking queue with the rest of the schmoes.

So, my gift to you is this - if you'd like to receive FOX in HD and you want a DVR on your HD satellite, and you have the upgraded 5 LNB dish, you will have to go to Best Buy, who has an exclusive on this box until September 16th or so. By then, the supply will have evaporated to about nothing. DirecTV will not have any of these boxes available for free upgrade until some time in November.

The season premier was September 5th according to Fox and Brooke Sheilds who was on Leno the other night, but that I didn't watch the Leno episode until last night. Fox website says next episode is episode 2

I re-set my TiVo season pass for the show yesterday. When I looked up the upcoming episodes, it showed two unnamed episodes this week, two showings of an episode with a common name next week, and two unnamed episodes the week after that, so I think there is a decent chance that they are doing a rebroadcast of each episode later the same week (like they way HBO runs its episodic shows), but who knows . . .

In the past, Tuesday's new episode of Nip/Tuck has been reaired on Friday and Sunday at 11. I've taken advantage of this when there were three shows I wanted to watch Tuesday at 10.

Thank you! That was what I figured. Doesn't explain why TiVo burned me the 1st time, but at least I'll catch the episode.

It's been brought to my attention that I failed to give you my usual Newber welcome and words of wisdom from a high-posting mid-skooler. So, here goes:

Thanks for the welcome, PLF! (What, no dainty petunias for the newber?)

Could I please get a definition of "jackass" as used herein? TIA!:D

I rarely PM Coltrane - but not because I wouldn't love to. My inability to PM him relates to my non-usage of Internet Explorer. For some reason, his name is too long for Firefox, but it works with Explorer.

Just another fun fact.

Except for the fun part. Maybe the fact part, too.
