George Will: Bush hasn't been telling the truth.

Care to name names? I have yet to hear these voices of which you speak, but maybe that's because I'm off my medication.

Strange bedfellows are painting Rush's fence.

Now that Limbaugh has convinced the ACLU to file briefs on his behalf in his efforts to suppress evidence seized by search warrants at his doctors' offices, do you think he'll have the decency to shut the fuck up and admit the importance of the left to making life worth living in the United States? Wanna bet the ACLU lawyer writing the brief was an unshaven feminazi?

You can't hear them because they're very quiet about it. They don't want to interrupt while you're listening to the Bush/Cheney '04 message.

The ones I can think of off hand include Buchanan, Novak, McLaughlin. I don't think that Buckley is too keen on it either, but I can't remember his position.

Matt Yglesias:

"As punishment for his misdeeds, the Senate GOP caucus went and made Lott the Chairman of the Senate Rules Committee. The highest leadership position Dodd holds, meanwhile, is Ranking Member status on . . . the Senate Rules Committee. So if the Democrats want to give Dodd the Lott treatment, all they really need to do is nothing."

Presumably this will make Club very happy.

I think they're all busy covering what's happening in Iraq. (Except maybe for the NAACP. Dunno about them.) As someone on TAPPED pointed out, the conservative media is jumping up and down on Chris Dodd because it's a good way not to talk about the way things Iraq is going to the shitter.

So you're unsuccessfully trying to convince them that the guy who hated their guts in 1946 is worse for them than the guy who was oblivious to their feelings in 2002. I think this is an indication that you probably don't have successful relationships with women, either. Or, for that matter, anyone. I hadn't known this, but Josh Marshall explained back in 1999 that
  • [a]pparently one of the first rules of the Senate is that no one can ever criticize Bob Byrd about anything[.]

So maybe Frist should just change that rule or something.

Are we talking antiwar or are we talking "the admin is doing a crappy job." Because those are two different things. If it were the former, I'd be really surprised not to have heard these guys' point of view before. It's not like they're shrinking violets.

your guy evoked Civil War days. the Reps. had the black vote back then, maybe i was just hopeful. I think dodd was one old guy saying a dumb thing about an old racist. Lott was another old guy saying another dumb thing about another old racist. I'm sure most "people" black or white knew it was stupid, and not intentional. NAACP isn't black people- its the liberal's surrogate so they can claim a united voice.

anyways,You guys had the airwaves for days with the Lott thing- I was hoping for a little something similar is all. I guess I'll just say its hypocritical, rather tha trying to say it a baiting way.
As to sucess with woman.,..... since being in law school I've never slept alone, 'cept when traveling or if I have to sleep on the couch.

as to attitude, the preacher at my uncle's funeral last month changed my life. he said "it you want to make friends, try being friendly." that's my motto.

Coors Chairman Expected to Make Senate Bid

Wednesday, April 07, 2004

DENVER — Gov. Bill Owens (search) said Wednesday that the head of the Coors brewing empire, Peter H. Coors (search), will be a Republican candidate for U.S. Senate this fall.

"I talked to him an hour and a half ago and he is going to run," Owens said after a briefing on the state's wildfire season. "I think Pete Coors would make an outstanding senator."

Coors, the chairman of Coors Brewing Co. (search) and Adolph Coors Co. (RKY), did not immediately return a message left at his offices in Golden.

a guy with unlimited free beer sitting down the hall has gotta be a big ass test of Teddy's new sobriety. the only thing that might be worse is if one of the mitchell brothers challenges feinstein- i mean Mary Carey's retired from politics, right?

Not anti-war, but anti-Iraq war. They have all been vocal about this on their respective shows.
