My point is that you imply through your remarks that you are of a separate class from "them." Do I need to explain further?

A younger pal, fresh out of law school, wants to run for office and also wants to have a BIGLAW career. Seems to me those are mutually exclusive -- at least, I can't think of anyone I know who's pulled it off. Anyone?

Bought and paid for. Anyone can have an amazing ratio for the right price. See, e.g. 8 out of 10 women walking on the sidewalk outside your office pretty much every day.

If you consider 80 hours a week pt/ The ones that are nice are usually lonely since they are stuck at work. Those that are balanced usually go in house less of a commute. Chicken or egg? who knows but it is far too common to ignore.

Women get the shaft. And it ain't their fault it is the way it is. you can't have it all. or if ya do it is at a great price in some other regard.
I don't think anyone but you here is saying that women like the ones on this board get the shaft**. I like my life very very much (Then again, I'm white, reasonably wealthy and well-educated). I love my family, I love my boyfriend, I am very fond of my ex-husband, I have great friends and for a law job, mine is pretty good. When have I (or any of the chicks on the board) said that we are getting a raw deal?

You are the only one that is saying that we are lonely and bitter, and you are backing that point up with a generalization that all women who try to have a career are bitter and lonely, or pay some kind of price. Well, we are specific evidence to the contrary! Doesn't that make you happy! It does me.

Come on. Dig deep into that head of yours and come up with an insult better than the typical anti-feminist crap. It won't mean that anyone will like you, but you might gain a measure of respect.

What level of office? David Catania, DC Council, was a partner at Akin Gump (he's of counsel now, or something).

Hillary Clinton might qualify, except she wasn't at biglaw, and her billing records were as suspicious as Penske's.

Stuff about ppnyc

Wow, what an unfair pile-on to poor, innocent little ppnyc. I can't believe I used to crush you before you retroactively revoked my license to crush...if I had the ability to uncrush you, I would certainly make an obviously hollow threat of thinking of doing the same, but ultimately, given the chance, I would still crush you, but for the retroactive revocation thing. Merde. Carry on.

Indeed.
