Uh, yeah, it does. But all is not lost.

I agree with the Robust Puppy. Carpe diem. Make a move. Email him and tell him what you wish he were thinking when he said that.

The traditional move in this situation would be to thank him for dinner and remind him that you used to have the biggest crush on him.

His response will give you a much better handle on his intentions and may spark something if he was otherwise unaware.

Even(ex-player)Odds

We've managed to stay friend for years by ignoring the fact that maybe I had a huge crush on him, so I'm not really comfortable bringing it up now.

He also admitted under my cross examination that it was true that he is more attracted to women that don't make it too easy for him to "catch" (although he said it was stupid and made no sense, but he couldn't help it). See the mixed signals? See why men are insane?:brick:

If I could get him near my pillow, this wouldn't be an issue.

What's the big deal anyway? The minute he sleeps with you, he's gonna drop you like a bad habit.

Does he like me? Does he like me-like me?

The "I'm terrible at reading women's signals" line means that he probably won't make a move until he's absolutely certain he'll be successful.

If you want him, you'll have to be much more aggressive than I suspect you usually are.

Technical Question

This is not a complaint, but just something I have noticed (and maybe, just maybe, I'm doing something wr- wr- wro-, you know what I mean).

Why is it that when you click on a forum when it shows that there are unread messages, that once read, still show as unread when no new messages are posted? Is there something I can do to remedy this.

Good job leagl and others that helped. This place looks great.

Good luck with it all and thanks for the time and hard work.

Now back to my cave, the warden will be arriving soon.

Still bitter that your ex gave you VD and then dropped your shaven ass? Don't worry, PP has high standards, not everybody can live up to them.

Jesus Christ... Stop Over-Analyzing and Just Fuck Him Already

Life's short. If you want to fuck him, go for it. Otherwise you'll never know. Agonizing over it here won't do you any good.

Unless you're uglier than sin, not many men will will forego an opportunity for sex, so let him know what you want. I appreciated that when I was single - nothing kills the libido like games and indecisiveness. And look him in the eye - that's sexy and speaks volumes more than anything you'll say the whole night.

Some folks will tell you to carefully interpret signs. Some folks will tell you tech stocks are set for a comeback. Picking up the signs of whether someone wants to fuck cannot be learned - you either felt them or you didn't. If you want to skip through the bullshit and save time and annoyance, get drunk with him at dinner - booze tends to wipe away all the horsehit and bring people to the point.

S(stick with hard liquor or wine - if he starts slugging beers, whatever sex you get will be shitty and rushed so he can go watch the NCAAs)D

It has a time out period of about 120 seconds before it marks the posts you haven't read as read.

Disagree... he doesn't want you

Haven't you ever had that guy friend that had a super crush on you, you knew it and you weren't interested? He would do the lean in at the end of a fun night, but you wanted nothing to do with him romantically...

It sounds like you're becoming a leaner... back off. It may not be you really, but rather you remind him of his sister or mother or whatever...

Just be his friend and get over it already. Find someone who makes the move and doesn't send you mixed messages. Besides, why are you analyzing his every breath. GEt a hobby.

For gods sake, are you really this much of an ass to every woman who refuses to sleep with you? Get over it.

I wish you'd decided to "not waste [your] time" before you tried to stick your tongue down my throat. Let's let it go, shall we?

Thanks for your input. For what it's worth, I'm hardly a leaner. I've given him clear "we are just friends" signals the last few times we've seen each other (and we only see each other a couple of times a year). I just wanted some opinions about whether I should change those signals.

Not floppy means that they won't make any annoying noise when I walk down the hall (I hate that). So they either should have ankle straps or slingbacks (tho I have little success with those staying on my heels) or they should have straps far enough up on the foot that they won't come off my foot when I walk.

Signals, schmignals.

Do you want to date him? Ask him out on a date. This isn't 1959.

Do you want to screw him? Get drunk and stick your tongue in his mouth.

Do you want to pass the time having fun conversations with your girlfriends regarding the analysis of "what does it mean when he does this"? Keep sending "signals".

I imagine he feels just as frustrated by your signals as you do by his.
