Medical poll

Bill Walton is the most talentless, annoying, shitty color commentator in the history of the world. Everything about him rubs me the wrong way. From his horse face/teeth to his retarded voice to his pointless commentary -- the worst. I don't know why people keep hiring him. If he died tomorrow, I would not feel one ounce of sorrow. As for Sportscenter, Linda Cohen and Stuart Scott are my most hated anchors. Scott actually thinks he's talented because he says, "Boo yah!" 500 times a show. You don't need a catch phrase for every single highlight. Linda Cohen is beyond boring and no fun to look at. Sportscenter should be Dan Patrick and Rich Eisen (who is leaving) every show. I used to like Berman, but he's become a caricature of himself too. Keith Oberman fell in love with his stupid catch phrases too much too ("They're not gonna get him," "Beaten like a rented mule") and I'm glad he's gone. That said, I enjoy Dan Patrick's "with the whhhhhiff," which I think he retired. Thurgreed(my impression of Joe Morgan, who is the John Madden of baseball: "Now this batter has a chance to get a hit. He already has two strikes. That means he has one more strike and he's out. But if he gets a hit, he won't have to worry about strikes until his next at bat, when he will get 3 more strikes)Marshall |
Dennis Miller joining Fox?
http://www.thestar.com/NASApp/cs/Con...l=968705925735
spree: Dennis Miller is heading back to television. The comic-actor, last on HBO's "Dennis Miller Live" and ABC's "Monday Night Football," is expected to join the Fox News Channel as a commentator for "Hannity and Colmes." An announcement could come as soon as today. Miller is expected to appear once a week on the 9 p.m. show, which pits conservative Sean Hannity against liberal Alan Colmes. Miller, often praised by critics as a perceptive social commentator, is to start next month. |

As for Linda Cohen (or is it Cohn?), I love her. This may be a sad commentary on my sense of humor, but she cracks me up. She also apparently shares my visceral dislike for the Yankees, and (unlike some others) doesn't act hipper than thou. And as for her looks, do you apply the same standard to Dan Patrick, you sexist misogynist bastard, you? |

Old School
If anyone else assumed (as I did) that the unrated version of Old School meant more of Will Ferrell's ass, we'll you're right. And I don't mind it in the least.
Nor do I mind her: http://i.imdb.com/Photos/Ss/0302886/CT-4382.jpg |
Linda Cohn
Quote:
Linda Cohn: I always loved sports, first off. It has always been a passion of mine. Basically I volunteered. My first job was doing news at a radio station on Long Island right after college and people would always say to me, "My goodness, when you get to the sports in your news report you just totally perk up and you're like so informative and you know what the heck you're taking about." So I volunteered to cover the New York Islander hockey games because at that time the Islanders were very good and the radio station I was working for covered Islander games. So I basically volunteered to go out there, brought a little tape recorder and put myself in position to show off what I know and also to have other people see me. It's kind of like putting yourself into a situtation to get a break and that's what I did. Sports directors at other radio stations saw me and I got a job at a New York City radio station doing sports and then I got a cable TV job at a local Long Island station. Then I made a tape of me doing a sportscast and sent that out and finally a year later got a job at KIRO-TV, a CBS affiliate in Seattle. That's where ESPN spotted me, and I've been at ESPN for almost nine years. Journalist jobs.com Cohn Interview |
