Raisinettes are sublime. Especially with popcorn.
Raisinettes are good. I buy cadbury fruit & nut bars when I can find them. Strawberries in thick hot fudge sauce (like, cut up -- it's not pretty-pretty) ROCK. Raspberries seem to work with chocolate. Chocolate-covered cherries are not bad, esp considering I don't like cherries that much. Chocolate-covered strawberries always seem like they are kept too cold so the chocolate doesn't taste much, and they usually are those ginormous strawberries, so they aren't bite-sized and the chocolate covering breaks up, falls off and makes a mess.

I have one of these in my office. And one at home. I dip pretty much anything in it. Any time. All the time.

I have never actually seen one of those things in action before. I've heard about them, but it seems like something that's quite messy to haul out to an event where people dress up.

ETA: This reminds me of something.

Does anyone actually own a fondue pot? If so, do you use it? Whenever I see them in the kitchen stores, I'm strangely compelled to desire one. I think I've had fondue a grand total of once, and I know that it would just end up next to the crock pot that I never use.

Dude, choco fondue?

heh

2 AoN things.

I was in Grand Central buying monthly tix. The woman at the counter said after me, she was closing shop. The woman in front turns to me and says "Okay so you have to tell everyone else she's closed" I said "man I have to work even on lunch?? I must have that face" and she said "you have a very approachable, open face" then she told me she liked my lipgloss and wanted to know what kind it was [Laura Mercier and Chanel combined]

Then just now at Starbucks I was counseling the barista about his g/f who has graduated and can't find a job and is getting depressed. I ticked off alumni network, internships, volunteering, and temping to get yr foot in the door. he just kind of looked at me like okayyyy wow. Yeah I don't mess around.

Only when the people who gifted it to you visit, would be my guess.

Yes. Occasionally. It's a lot of cheese, so it's best used with several guests for an appetizer.

I have not used it for chocolate fondue, however.

eta: And I will not serve shape shifter any.

Also, it's seasonal. It's not needed in the summer here, because I can leave a piece of cheese in a bowl outside and have fondue within a few minutes.

Thanks str8. If possible, though, can I exchange the tits in my face for an order of meaty pecs (and a side of plantains)? Gracias.

You and I must be going to the wrong parties then. I've heard of these chocolate fountains, but have never seen one live.

Avoid even the thought of getting a fondue pot. It is the messiest fucking thing in the world to clean. Think about it. Once it's cool enough to touch, the cheese or the chocolate has hardened. We have one. We used it once.

If it doesn't get eaten, you're just going to have more to clean. Lemme just taste.

Freudian slip. He just uses bugger so often that it's become habit.

I have seen one live, but did not partake since I'm off dairy until Thor is weaned, and it didn't look like dark chocolate. I also am completely in agreement with Burger in re: fruit and chocolate, which I believe is an abomination. Nuts, yes; coffee, yes; caramel, yes; fruit other than the occasional banana split, no way in hell.
