1) I'm not busting anyone's sock. Like the days of yore - I'm doing nothing more than taking an educated guess based on posting style.

The policy is that no mods can see IP addresses or other identifying information..

And not only that, but the way the board logs IP addresses makes it exceedingly difficult to cross-reference them with other users, so even if an admin wanted to track down people's socks, it wouldn't be a real easy process. It can be done, but it's not really worth it just to figure out socks. If it's a security/outing/stalking/TOS violation issue, then it's a different story.

After the copyright battle with U2 forcing them to pull "U2" off the shelves, Negativland subsequently released fuck-you albums entitled "The Letter U and the Numeral 2" and "These Guys Are from England and Who Gives a Shit." I have my cassette of "U2" --- wish I'd thought to get it on CD before it got banned --- and it does my heart good to hear it. It's still not as funny as the stuff they did on KPFA, but it takes me back to bright college days.
