Right.........because the only reason anyone makes fun of you is because you're new here.

Going out on a limb here, but there might be another reason.

Watching Clemens don that National League hat yesterday, I could not help wondering how much payback he's going to see up at the plate for 20 years of headhunting in the AL.

I rarely well up any more, and if not for the make-up sex (Hi ShapeShifter!) it just wouldn't be worth it.

Why is it people are only willing to admit this stuff once the player isn't "their guy" anymore?

Not necessarily. One of the kids I grew up with was the son of florists. He lived a couple of blocks over where the really, really big houses started, while I lived in the nearby group of townhouses cleverly located to give the town a place to house people like teachers and police officers. So I'd say that if you are good, you can make some decent money. Don't tell Sebby.

Ditto. A college friend, not exactly a buddy, is a mid-level producer on TDS. When I saw her name in the credits, I sent her a fawning e-mail in the hopes that she would remember my sparkling wit and TV-quality looks and swing me summa dat action. No luck. She responded politely, asked who I kept up with, yada yada yada.

Of course, what I really wanted was a BJ from Rachael Harris, but RH left the show before I could ask, and I wasn't really willing to go with the Vance DeGeneres backup option. Of course, Original Atticus Man-Crush Stephen Colbert could butter my muffin any day of the week.

This morning, the SF Chronicle is wondering how much payback he's going to see in his first start (Giants open in Houston) for hitting Barry Bonds in the third inning when they met two years ago.
